Seems odd to pull Butler after 64 pitches. I mean certainly he wasn't dominating but not like he was stinking it up.

Runner in scoring position and considering he went through the order twice far more important than pitch count.

Almora should be playing every day. There is no reason to put your best CF D on the bench.

Agree 100%.

Play him. Live with growing pains. You don't NEED a lot of offense from CF with a GG out there, and he is not bad offensively anyway.

He makes plays, too.

I don't think you have to play Almora every day but I would like to see him more. For example, if you're facing a really good RHP you might want to get Jay a start here or there or some other configuration but in general I think he's fairly solid.

That throw was almost as bad as the pitch Contreras struck out on.

Play the best D. It pays off.

8 innings of zeros then Rondon and Davis happened...

Contreras almost threw another one away..

Good game by Butler, got big outs..
Bats woke up in the 9th for 4 much needed runs..

Ugly finish, take the win

Wow. We are going to rip Davis now. Good grief.

Rendon was very good last year, but hasn't rebounded from combo of physical injury and mental one from losing starter's role

I lkke Contreras, and am willing to accept growing pains.

His bat and arm are good.

But his glove work needs more work. His dropped third strikes are too frequent and the throws following them scare me.

Such a turnaround.

He may need change, and someone would be smart to take a chance.

Has not come back since last Sep.

Kinda sensitive if you're calling that a rip...

They had zeros going for 8 innings and he and Rondon came in and gave up 4 runs...

I took the "then Davis happened" to imply it was normal.

Not sensitive. Just don't want to rip this year's most (only?) consistent performer.

Rondon needs to go IMO. They could add a 2 inning guy in Lieu of him and be better off.
