Their gonna need to pitch like crazy to just get a split here..

I'm gonna go..
1% chance split
4% chance get swept
95% chance losing 3 of 4

Could be a long agonizing 4 games to watch...

Javy has a horrible view of the strike zone. First pitch down the middle stands there and strike. Second pitch up at eye level and a foot out side he swings strike two.

Seems odd to pull Butler after 64 pitches. I mean certainly he wasn't dominating but not like he was stinking it up.

That's what I was thinking. He put away the side in like 5-6 pitches in the previous inning.

Here's Strope. Great.

He didn't give up any runs.
Yeah, that's pretty good.

I have to say, I'm not liking the odds of the Lackey vs. Strasburg matchup I'm taking in Weds.

Did I just see a graphic with Arrieta winning two Cy Young awards?

I chuckled at the Lackey matchup, too.

lol that was so Javy! Safe at first by inches twice, safe at 2nd by inches, then steals 3rd and slides home for a big insurance run

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
This is what teams do when they're not hitting...they should've been trying this a long time ago. Waiting for 3 run HRs is a generally a losing proposition. Now if they'd only bunt into that shift a few times...

Part of the problem is the team doesn't have a ton of team speed especially with Heyward out. Don't have many guys who are a threat on the bases.

Duensing here against Harper makes me nervous.

Can we also acknowledge something here? In 2014, Almora had 14 walks in 508 ABs. He has 3 tonight plus the 13 he already had in 152 ABs. I'd like to see him do more vs RHP but the guy has really improved his overall offensive game and probably doesn't get enough credit for it. If he starts hitting RHP think he can be a decently above average hitter.
