On one hand, it seems Eddie Butler pitches every third game, and it is initially a letdown when I see he is starying.

On the other hand, we have had a better chance to win with him on the mound (albeit for 5 innings) than with the others.

Add to it. There is a huge difference between not as effective and never have been established as a major league starter. Jake, Jon and John all can toss a shut out on any given day if they are on their game. Butler you expect 5 innings every game. You just hope that the O can keep them in it.

I say they drop 2 of 3 this weekend...

Am I the only one looking at this lineup and wondering why Jay and Baez are sitting.. So .214 Zobrist ( who should be planted on bench )can start and leadoff, and .168 Schwarber (who should still be in minors) start..

Plus he sits Contreras, who been o e of his hitter hitters lately..
He'll have a week off after Sunday to rest or you can pull him if a game gets out of hand..

I mean this team needs to find some momentum and if anything finish the half on a winning note.. which can be done against a bad Pirates team..
But Maddon sits 2 of his better players to play 2 of his pets...
