When I saw we were starting the second half with our #5 starter, I thought it was odd. But I like Montgomery, and we got off to early lead, so it looked good.
At 8-0, I told my son we need to save some runs, but retracted it, because I (once again) felt this team was ready to go on a run.
Starting the second half with a blown 8-0 lead was NOT in the plans.

It's honestly nuts how this team can go from 0-100 real quick or 100-0 if you prefer. They had 7 hits off Gausman in 3 innings and have 2 hits the rest of the game. Obviously this is more on the pitching tonight than the offense but still pretty nuts.

Yet Montero was the one who was "poor defensively".
People don't get that calling a game and framing are HUGE.

Also i need to amend my earlier comment. The cubs are a pretty good team when they hit 5 HRs.
