My favorite win of the year!

Pat and Ron called it the best win of the year. Would have been a great game to be at.

I'm looking forward to watching Quintana tomorrow, I think he'll be throwing lights out.

Cub fan in St Louis, here. Dropped off son at airport early this morning, and really wanted to just walk over and buy a ticket to Chicago to go to game. Great duel. Great win. Cards are 4-5 since break, but led in 7th or later in all. Starting pitching for them was good through that stretch.

Need to bury 'em!

I used to live a block from the El platform and the wife and I would jump on the train and catch a game when ever we felt like it. Cardinal games were always the most fun, Mets were a close 2nd. I don't remember any of them being idiots...always fun trash talking with them.

Showing your age, Spunk. It's been quite awhile since Cub tickets were easy access. I remember those days when a "big" crowd was 20-25 thousand and 15-20 dollars would cover you for the day....that wouldn't cover refreshments today.

Interesting...
Cubs get a SP boost in acquiring Quintana and Hendricks returns..

The 2 teams they could be facing in playoff just lost their top starter via injury today.

Dodgers- Kershaw / Back

Nationals- Strasburg/ Forearm

He still looks awful hitting...

8 for 36 12 Ks since his return..
3 for last 18 7 Ks

18 for last 100 AB with 32 Ks

That strike three call to Happ is as bad a call by an ump as you will see.

Agreed.

Wacha has stunk much of the year - and past three years.

Quality start for Quintana when he clearly did not have his best stuff. I'll take that.
