Sounded like Joe put Q behind Lester just to avoid him pitching against the white sox. Dont know what sense that made, figured he might have no hitter stuff to show them what they ditched.

I think it was much more about getting him to pitch against the Brewers. The ESPN guys made the suggestion it was about the White Sox series. Take it for what it's worth.

I wouldn't look into it too much. Sure you want your best 3 vs the team that is fighting you for #1. But you still have to win the games that you are expected to win. So a mute point.

Yes. I'm looking forward to seeing Moncada. I followed him pretty closely in the Red Sox system. I think your guys got the best guy there. I like Benintendi but I think in the long term Moncada was better. The Red Sox media has tried to spin it that Boston refused to give up Benintendi but I really think they really didn't want to have to give up Moncada.

Hendricks really labored today with some shaky command. He did throw some good pitches though so it's a start. I hope Grimm can hold this inning to 1 run and we get score a couple off Gonzales 3rd time through.

Cubs are playing great ball winning 8 of 9, now have
