First defending World Series Champions to come back and win the division the following year since the 2009 Philadelphia Phillies! And no better place to win the division on the road than in St. Louis!

Well i'd like to clinch the division on the road at Guaranteed Rate.. who knows..maybe next year, we are at Sox 21-23 Sept

Definitely possible. The White Sox will be prepping for the playoffs by that time.

In all seriousness I would believe that statement if you said 2019. Next year is a stretch though.

I think that's reasonable. I was surprised to see that they think Eloy could come up as early as next year though. That would be a huge mistake. The Cubs timeline had been a cup of coffee in 2019 and starting the year in 2020. Let the kid develop.

Cubs have been great since the break. They’ve also been phenomenal in the home stretch.

What I want to see today, is the Cubs knock the cards out of the WC, then the Cards to sweep the Brew Crew.

I don’t like divisional opponents in the Post Season. They’ve all seen too much of our pitching for my liking.
