What a garbage call that was. Zobrist was not attempting to bunt. That umpiring crew can suck it.

The guy at the plate was a minor league fill in ump.

They needed to adjust the K zone too. All lackey did was hit the bottom line all night.

Welp this game is over. Hard to feel good about squeaking out a split against the Reds

Considering they were down 9-0 in the second being down 9-6 now seems far less painful.

The Mariners blew a 12 run lead in 2001. That was the craziest thing I've ever watched. This is right there!!!

I'll be interested to see how this plays out with Lester. You could in theory move lester to the DL, montgomery to the rotation which would open up a 25 man slot for Maples. And you'd probably want to do that prior to September to make him post season eligible. Not 100% sure who they'd cut from the 40 man to make that happen. You'd imagine if it were going to be Grimm they would have already done that. But he would be an interesting potential weapon in the stretch run and possibly playoffs if he pitched well.

As for the game... honestly after being down 9-0 even if they lose this game I'm counting it as a positive they came back. Most games most teams in that situation just roll over and play for tomorrow.

Baez has to put the bat on the ball there. Strike 2 and swinging for the fences instead of putting a good fastball in play.

That's nothing new. That dude comes out of his shoes every at bat, hell every swing.

Hearing that Lester ok and he probably took himself out like that to give bullpen extra time to get ready...

I was saying in June that they should bring Maples up before Sept 1st to make him playoff eligible...
Sometimes you get lucky in playoffs adding a hot young pitcher to pen, and opposing team dont know much about him..

I agree with the comeback thing even if they lose, but damn its the Reds who they were supposed to beat easily and sweep..
So a split to them is like losing the series
