(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, The day after losing their second game in a row)

*It's been nearly a month since the Inferno re-took the ice, and things are starting to go more smoothly around the city of Chicago for hockey. Well, until now. The fans seem to have been worried about the direction of the team now, as the Inferno have found themselves in a little bit of a slump, as they stand at 10-8-1 on the season. Still with the losing, the team mood in the locker room is high. Chad enters the team game room.*

Chad Fellers: *looks around and calls out* Yo guys? *notices no one is in the game room in the locker room, and inserts Def Jam Rapstar disc into the team XBOX 360. Once in, Chad enters quick play and selects "I Get Money" by 50 Cent. He gets right into the song, and clearly is trying his best to reach a high score.* I, I get it....I, I get it.....I, I get it....I GET MONEY, MONEY MOVING UP, I, I GET MONEY....I RUN NEW YORKKK...

*As Chad gets into it, a couple guys enter the room wondering what was going on, and snoop on Chad rapping to the game without him noticing. Kerin and Eric Follman quietly laugh on as Chad makes a fool of himself on the game.*

Eric Follman: *smiling* He's not doing it right. I actually know how to rap man. I used to do some music back in college. They called me E-Diddy. One of the baddest rappers in Illinois before I hit the ice.

Kerin Mitchell: *sighs, swedish accent* Yeah good for you man...*mumbles* Surrrreeee

Chad Fellers: I, I GET IT.....I, I GET IT.....I GET MON---*notices Kerin and Eric behind him* Oh shit...

*They all break into laughter, as this reminds them there is more to being a team than just hockey. They need to have fun together.*

Eric Follman: Dude, lets get Crimsion and Canuck over here. Crimsion'll probably be naturally good at this.

Kerin Mitchell: *swedish accent* Is that cause he is african american?

Eric Follman: Obviouslyyyy.

*The five guys mess around on the game for awhile, all having a good time, and making fools of themselves in the process. Surprisingly, Eric is the worst of the four at the game.*

Jordan Charles Jr: Eric, you don't even play it the right way. Every time you do it, you get halfway through the song than you start freestyling about racist shit.

Eric Follman: Whoops...sorry dude.

*The guys have a great time. Things like this remind Chad, Kerin, and Eric of the old times the Inferno had in their first seasons. The five than head to the team break room, to grab something to drink and sit around before the team practice.*

Chad Fellers: We need to do shit like that more often man. That reminded me of the old times with Croom when we went down to that rap station and Croom kicked that kids ass...you remember that Eric?

Eric Follman: *laughs* Yeah I remember that. Ian Tulloch right?

Johnny Canuck: Wait, Croom kicked a radio hosts ass? *laughs*

Chad Fellers: Yeah man. The kid was on the Inferno for like five days, and tried stealing Crooms spot on the team. Than he started talking bad about the team on the radio, so Croom had to go down there and show him what was up. He did just that.

Eric Follman: I miss Croom man.

Kerin Mitchell: Yeah, me too. It's just good to know he's in better shape now. I heard he's playing wheelchair raquetball lately, too. *laughs*

Eric Follman: Hopefully he can get back on the ice at some point. If we ever find the son of a bitch who did that I swear....

Johnny Canuck: Sounds like you guys really like that guy huh?

Eric Follman: Yeah. He's an Inferno elite. *gloating* Maybe some day you'll get there, like me.

Jordan Charles Jr: Bro, you're not even there yet.

Eric Follman: *whispering to Canuck* He's just saying that cause he's jealous. You stick by me, and I'll get you to be an Inferno Elite somewhere down the road.

*The guys continue to talk about old times. Even with bad play on the ice the past few nights, the Inferno have found ways to enjoy being on the team anyhow. Chicago just looks forward to the the next game, and hopefully turning things around.*

Chicago, IL- After a recent losing streak for the Chicago Inferno, coach Jordan Charles has decided to make a lineup change for the upcoming games.

Defensivemen Eric Follman will be moving to the front for the time being. He will play alongside Chad Fellers at right wing. Follman is used to being swapped from offense to defense and the other way around as well. This will not be the first time he has played on the offensive side of the puck.

"I think it will be a good change. We will have to see how things go for now. Hopefully we can just change our losing ways," said Follman on the change.

The Inferno are currently 10-8-1 on the season, and looking to make a big playoff run this season.

Chicago, IL- This game was important in Chicago's eyes. A new team with a new lineup means the Inferno are getting somewhat desperate to break their slump.

Chicago had a great game on the offense and defensive side of the puck this game, as it looks like they're slump is over finally.

Chicago, IL- Coach Jordan Charles Jr looks like he is a genius, as his idea for the Inferno line change has turned out to be a great one thus far. Follman had a career night on the ice tonight, racking up four goals for the Inferno.

Chicago, IL- After another win last night, the Inferno looked to destroy another bad team tonight, as they faced a 2-15-0 team. It was a simple game, with the Inferno winning 3-0, and moving to 13-8-1 on the season.

Chicago, IL- Chicago is looking as hot as ever now, as they've won another game, moving their winning streak to four games. Chicago is getting great production from Eric Follman, who has moved to forward. Jordan Charles Sr. looks like he made the right decision.

Name: Jon Boyle
Age: 24
Number: 32
Born: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Jon Boyle, an average build, average speed. Nothing flashy, nothing dull. I'm a player who can have those offensive flare-moments, but those moments arent 24/7. Defensively strong, can read the ice well, as to when to stay back if defense partner jumps the rush and so on. Willing to make good impression with teammates by protecting them, possibly fighting if they go after our star players etc. Pretty much a two-way defenseman.

After graduating high school, Jon went on to Simon Fraser University to play Field Lacrosse big-stick (defensive long-pole). After struggling in 1st year on the team, only playing 2 full games of the season. Sitting on the bench or just not joining the team on long distance trips, developing his skills on his own time, but really never had the shot to play full-time big-stick. So I went back to my house in Vancouver, called up my friend to get back into hockey, somehow managed to get a scholarship to the University of Boston. Immediately made second pairing for their defensive corpse. Coach pulled me aside "Kid, don't think that you come in and take the second pairing job that you stay there, no you screw up you go back down to third or even scratched. I have that power, don't test me". "Okay coach, I understand. You want the best of your players, I'll give you my best". During the season I only registered 3 goals and 20 assists in 40 games. Not bad you may say, just barely acceptable to the coach. Told me after we got knocked out of the playoffs that I just managed to stay on the team. During the next two-seasons, I played better, nothing spectacular. Most often played solid defensively, shown some flares on offense, but nothing great. No comparision to huge super-star defenseman.

Decided not to go to the NHL route, rejected to enter the draft. Took about two years off of hockey, suited up for a try-out game with Chicago Inferno. Made it, now playing for the Inferno. Taking an role the team wants me to go. Being the big solid stay-at home player, I'll do that.

(Scene Takes Place In Kerin's hotel room)

*As many may know, the Inferno are now red hot. Victoria Hill is upset and shocked at how the team is rising to the top once again. The Inferno memorbilia is flying off the shelves around the city as the season is nearing the stretch, and playoffs are soon to be here. It's 9 PM at night now, and Kerin Mitchell is sitting at his computer desk in his hotel room. His roomate Jon Boyle has gone night ice fishing with his father at Lake Michigan, so Kerin has the room to himself. He sits, wondering how he can keep the Inferno mentality the way it is for the rest of the season. Another cold streak would put the season to an end for all of Chicago's fans.*

Kerin Mitchell: *saying to himself, in a swedish accent* I've got it! A pump up video. That'd be perfect. The guys would love that.

*Kerin opens up Sony Vegas on his desktop and gets to work. He internet surfs on youtube and finds tons of Chicago Inferno highlights. He smiles as he sees his favorite ones of the guys on the ice. Kerin is extremely glad to be back in Chicago. For a moment Kerin stops working on the video. He sits there, not moving. Just thinking. Thinking about what he went through to make it back on the ice. Just two months ago Kerin found himself homeless, but now he's playing hockey in front of thousands of fans every night. A near tear of joy comes into his eyes. He wipes it away quickly, and gets back to work on the video.*

Kerin Mitchell: *smiling* No time to get emotional. I need to get this done while we're on a hot streak.

*Time flies by, and three hours later Kerin is admiring his work.*

Kerin Mitchell: *swedish accent* Man the guys are gonna love this! *looks at clock* Damn, it's already mid-night. I gotta get to sleep. I'll show them tomorrow before our game.

*Kerin gets up and heads to bed. A quick call to his girlfriend and Kerin turns out the lights to go to sleep. He can't wait to show the video to the guys tomorrow before their game.*

*The night passes by, and Kerin spends the day with his girlfriend. She loves being in Chicago. She and Kerin are actually planning on moving in with eachother once they find an apartment that fits their likes. Kerin heads to Inferno Arena early, to set up a projector and test if the video is working. He gives it a practice run and everything runs perfectly.*

Kerin Mitchell: *excited* Man, I can't wait til' they get here.

*It's 6 o'clock now, and the Inferno game starts in an hour. The team is starting to arrive, as Kerin, already dressed for tonights game (he's always the first one dressed and ready to go in the team locker room), waits in the middle of the locker room with the DVD in his hand. The guys all get their gear on. Eric, late as usual, walks in the door.*

Eric Follman: Sorry guys....*lying* this girl wouldn't leave me alone out there....*looks at Jordan Charles* You know how that goes Jordan.....*laughs* OH WAIT, no you DONT! *laughing hysterically*

Jordan Charles Jr: *walking by Eric* Just get dressed you douche.

*The team finally all is ready, and gathers in the middle of the room as usual before every game. Kerin stands up from his seat, and heads to the front so everyone can see him.*

Kerin Mitchell: *swedish accent* HELLO EVERYONE! I have a special treat for you guys tonight. We're playing great right now, and I want that to stay, so I make a video for all of you to see. *pulls down projector screen, and clicks play on remote*

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i4_F_ZkVgsk?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i4_F_ZkVgsk?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Jon Boyle: Dude that was fucking awesome!

Jordan Charles Jr: Wow. Great job man. That really set the mood for tonight *smiles*

Chad Fellers: Great job Kerin. Thats the kinda shit we missed while you were gone.

*Kerin thanks all the guys for such great feedback. Coach Charles soon comes out from his office and gives the team brief before the nights game. The Inferno are now ready to hit the ice, as coach Charles tells the team they will show Kerin's video before every game remaining in the season.*

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room)

*The Inferno are as hot as ever right now, and the team is living it up on and off the ice. The guys are all getting ready after watching Kerin Mitchell's "Pump Up Video" and having a great time. Chad notices a man dressed in a suit come and whisper into coach Charles ear. Coach than follows him into his office. That usually means something bad is about to happen. Chad continues to wonder what is going on as the other guys are doing their ritual pre-game routines. Jordan Charles is listening to his iPOD, Jon Boyle is doing his leg workouts in the weight room, Kerin is dancing to Swedish music, and Eric is catching up on Glee. All of these, normal things to see. Eric than notices Chad standing there.*

Eric Follman: Why you just standing there man? Do something. We've got a game to play!

Chad Fellers: *barely paying attention and mumbling* Yeah, yeah....I know.

*Chad takes another look at coaches office. The blinds are always shut completely. Coach Charles really likes his privacy. Chad than walks closer and catches a glimpse of coach through a crack in the blinds. Coach Charles Sr. looks as if he had just seen a ghost. Chad watches him talk to the man in the suit, and than take a seat in a chair. Coach just sits there, not looking at anything. Chad can't help but be nosey, as this can't be something good.*

Chad Fellers: *whispers to himself* dude what the hell is going on.

*Chad than still wondering, heads back to his locker and puts on his gear. As he is lacing his skates up he notices coaches door open to the office. Coach walks out slowly, and heads to the team television. He picks up the remote.*

Coach: Guys....*no one hears him*.....GUYS...*Chad and Jordan head turn the heads, but no one else*....GUYS!!!!! *the rest of the guys quickly look on* Guys, come over here. All of you.

*Coach turns on the televsion.*

*The Inferno all stand there, silent. Suddenly, the guys can't care about the game whatsoever. A couple of the guys head back to their locker in disbelief.*

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room)

*The room remains silent. Chad Fellers walks slowly over to his locker room, sits down and puts his head in his hands. Coach Charles understands what the guys felt for Croom, as he was part of the original Chicago Inferno team, and so was coach. Jordan Charles Jr and Eric Follman stand there, in shock, staring blankly at the screen. After only 30 years of life, Michael Croom is now gone.*

Eric Follman: How can this happen?! They said he was alright!

Jordan Charles: *sympathetically* I don't know man. It's always the good that die young.

*The Inferno immediately cancel their game plans for the night. None of the players can even think about getting on the ice at a time like this. The entire city of Chicago is shocked by this sudden death of one of, if not the biggest fan favorite of Inferno history. Kerin Mitchell never got to re-greet Michael Croom, as he had been in the hospital since the day Kerin regrouped with the team.*

Kerin Mitchell: *getting emotional* I never got to say goodbye, ya know?

*Jon Boyle looks on at his teammates. His is the only one to not have a connection to Michael Croom, yet he can't help but feel like he lost a friend on this day. Croom had affects on each individual in the Inferno organization...even Victoria Hill has a teary eye on this day. The men still stand there glaring at the television.*

Coach: It's not fair. Croom did nothing to deserve this young death....*walks slowly back to his office and shuts the door*

*Chad Fellers still sits there, not saying a word. He shuts himself out to the entire world. Chad gets up, heads out the door, and back to his room at the hotel. Halfway back to the hotel it hits Chad that he and Croom will never share another hotel room. Ever. No more late night sneak-outs to go to the club. No more hilarious conversations about the girls Croom slept with over the years. Chad cries the entire way home. He knows the Inferno will never be exactly the same.*

*Back in the Inferno locker room, Eric and Kerin are talking about how Croom was such a great person.*

Kerin Mitchell: Croom was always there for ya man. When you had no hopes, he come and get you back and focused.

Eric Follman: Man...I can't believe this.

*The rest of the day each Inferno player reflected on Michael Croom's life, and would attend the funeral the next day. Crooms locker, coach explained, would remain untouched the rest of the season.*

Chicago, IL- Chicago will be partying in the streets after this one. What a game to finish it off. A playwriter litterally couldn't of wrote a better script to the season. Chicago will head back home for a night or two, just in time for Thanksgiving, than head to the playoffs, where they have no idea who they'll match up against.
