SUMMARY: Bascially, what this is, is a EASHL franchise type of thread. I run a team called the Chicago Inferno, where we have 32 game seasons we play against other EASHL teams. We must win 18 of those 32 games to make playoffs. If we don't we miss playoffs, and move onto the next season. If we do make playoffs, we must win 4/4 games to win the championship.

Our players all have contracts, personalities, and all the likes of a real NHL player. We have player scenes to have some fun and show you guys what goes on off the ice for our team, interviews, etc.

We've been running this franchise since late NHL 09, and are very excited to move onto NHL 11 with it as well. If you'd like to check out previous seasons, there are links lower in this post. Please enjoy, and let us know what you think.

The Inferno's past makes the future look promising

Chicago, IL- The Chicago Inferno, after starting off their franchise in a terrible manner, have managed to barely slip into the playoffs the first two seasons. After the second season finale, the Inferno got bad news when defensivemen and Captain Jordan Charles announced his retirement and left wing Kerin Mitchell became a free agent. Possibly, that was the change the Inferno needed as they went and signed defensivemen Tony Lanteri, who helped the team cruise to a 23-9-0 record.

After that, they starting heating up and winning nearly two thirds of their games, and at some points were nearly unbeatable. The 23-9-0 season was their best, as they got to a great start, and cooled off later in the season. The Inferno still, could not take home the hardware as they lost in the UHL Championship. As the next season draws near, the Inferno hope to finally take home the UHL Championship, and get the Inferno fans what they want.

Last season, however, was one to remember, as the Inferno finally headed to the promise land, after a great regular season. They got buckled in when it came time for the playoffs, and would eventually make the championship. In the biggest game of their lives, Chad Fellers and the Inferno would win 3-2. Fellers netted all three goals, and the city of Chicago celebrated in mass.

Now, the Inferno look to continue to build this team into one of the elite in the world, as they prepare for NHL 11 and Burning Up The Competition.

The Breakdown:
Games: 32
Playoff Elgibility: 36 points
Win: 2 points
Loss: 0 points
OT Loss: 1 point
Playoff Scenario:
-single elimination
-you reach the championship by going 3-0 in your first games
-your fourth victory is the championship

Chad Fellers and Eric Follman are the two captains of the squad this season

teamroster.gif

Chad Fellers | Pos: C | Age: 28 | Num: 34 | Player Type: Ticket Seller (Captain)
Before- Chad Fellers is one hell of a character. Hes the Manny Ramirez of the UHL. Hated by some, but loved by many. Heres a guy who can back up his talk if he has to, and will definantly fill some seats for the Inferno. Hes one of the best on the team, and his stats back it up. He made the All-American high school team in Chicago Illinois, and is locally recruited onto the Inferno. Sometimes his actions off the ice might hurt the team, but with a guy this good, you can't help but sign him.

Now- Going back four years, the Inferno were once questionable about how Chad Fellers' future would wind up on the Inferno. It turned out to be a great signing by the Inferno as Fellers lead the UHL in points in season three, while the Inferno cruised to a 23-9-0 record before losing in the Championship game. Fellers has since than been promoted to captain, and has been featured on the cover of magazines such as ESPN and Fitness Monthly.
CONTRACT: 7 YEARS, 100 MILLION
CAREER STATS: 185 GOALS, 158 ASSISTS, 343 POINTS

Kerin Mitchell | Pos: RW | Age: 30 | Num: 21 | Player Type: Locker Room Leader
Before- Kerin Mitchell is known as the locker room leader of the Chicago Inferno. He is a former Inferno player, played with the team for the first two seasons, and ran into financial trouble. Eric Follman | Pos: LW | Age: 26 | Num: 5 | Player Type: Franchise Player (Assistant Captain)
Before- Eric Follman is the future of the Inferno. Just graduated from high school, as one of the best in the nation. Hes a more quiet guy off the ice, but will get loud if he has to. Like Chad Fellers, hes locally recruited onto the Inferno. This guys slap shot has the power to make a goalie stop in his tracks. Defensiveman quiver when he has an open shot. Did we mention, hes only 19?
Now- Eric Follman came into the United Hockey League a franchise player Left Wing, transformed his game into a defensive weapon, and now, will return back to his origin, at left wing. Follman, only twenty three looks to continue playing as an Inferno player for years to come.

His father and now retired Chicago Inferno defensivemen Jordan Charles had a couple great seasons in Chicago, and is overwhelmingly happy with how his son's career has turned out so far. So far, is the keyword. Jordan Charles Jr. grew up playing in the affiliate Quad City Blaze of the Inferno, and has finally gotten his call to play with the big boys. Jordan will play defense like his father, and is expected to be in Chicago for a long time to come.

Jermaine Ricketts | Pos: RW | Age: 29 | Num: 0 | Player Type: From Nothing To Something
Before- Jermaine comes from the slums of downtown Calgary, raised from a poor family. Reportedly as the story goes, after getting a pair of rollerblades for christmas, Jermaine took two of his mothers steak knives and super glued/taped them onto the bottom of the roller blades. He would than head to the local pond, and play with his friends. The rest is history. He wears number zero to comemorate his "rags to riches" story.

--Victoria Hill Buys Chicago Inferno--

18325-11894.gif

Victoria Hill is the new owner of the Chicago Inferno

Chicago,IL (AP) - It is being reported this morning, that the Inferno have been boughten out. Old owner, the Chicago Tribune, has sold the company to Victoria Hill, who will take over duties for who comes in, and out of the team.

Victoria, a former stripper from Las Vegas, has changed her life around after winning the lottery in late 2007. Right after winning, she invested it into the Seattle Supersonics, in the NBA, who would later move to Oklahoma City.

Victoria has a bad reputation in the sports business, but the Inferno couldn't refuse all the money she offered, and as of now, the team will be directed in a way, they hope, will be good.

"I'm not too excited, due to what I've heard around the sports business about this woman, but hopefully she wants to keep us here, and playing good," said captain Chad Fellers about their new owner.

Inferno Reverting Back To Old School With Position Changes And Signings

Croom2.jpg

Michael Croom's return will most likely be seen in season five, as it's being reported the Inferno have signed Croom to a two year deal worth 8 million dollars

Chicago, IL- Chicago Inferno fans have plenty to be excited about currently. The team is coming off their first ever UHL Championship, winning 3-2, with Chad Fellers winning MVP of the Championship game, after scoring all three Inferno goals.

It's a new season now, however, as the Inferno got rid of two expiring contracts in Colt Hughes (xFTFx iWHITEY) and Dana Fitzgerald (Sik On Th3 Stix). As always, with players leaving, new players will come in. This year, it seems more like old players will come in. It has been reported that the Inferno have potentially signed former Chicago Inferno player and fan favorite Michael Croom to a two year contract worth just over 8 million. Croom was one of the bigger fan favorites in Inferno history, as he played defense for Chicago during their first two seasons as a franchise. Once NHL 10 dropped, Michael Croom found himself caught up in the services, as he would go on to spend two years in Iraq, serving his country.

He is back now, and ready to hit the ice once again. Croom will hopefully fill the right defense position, which will move Jordan Charles Jr. to left defense, and Eric Follman to offense, to play aside Chad Fellers, at left wing.

"I'm really excited about this potential signing," said Eric Follman. "Croom always gave me a buncha crap, but deep down we're really good friends. I'm sure Chad [Fellers] and coach [Jordan Charles] are really happy as well. I just hope it all works out."

Just after that big reporting, more big news came in from overseas. Former Inferno right wing, Kerin Mitchell, and another fan favorite, could possibly be returning to Chicago again. Kerin Mitchell has been going through a big depression, financially and mentally, but the locker room leader hopefully will come back to the Inferno, for a big reunion, placing all five of the original Inferno players somewhere in the Orginization. Whether it be coach or player.

More news will be reported in the future on Kerin Mitchell. If Mitchell doesn't sign the Inferno have expressed interest in bringing back Colt Hughes for a one year contract, or recruiting and finding another player to fill the role.

--Inferno Exclusive Interview With New Owner Victoria Hill--

phelps.jpg

Stuart Scott from ESPN interviews new Chicago Inferno owner Victoria Hill in this exclusive sit down interview

ESPN: Hey Victoria, how are you doing?

Victoria Hill: *emotion-less* I'm fine.

ESPN: So, why the Chicago Inferno? Of all the teams, why did you throw your money at this team?

Victoria Hill: Well, I'm originally from Las Vegas, and as you know, Vegas is still looking for a UHL team, and I thought this would be a great fit. I mean, who wants to play in this dirty city anyway?

ESPN: *short pause* What about the fans? There are almost half a million Chicago Inferno fans just in this city alone? What about them?

Victoria Hill: Ahh, they'll get over it. Time heals everything, as you know.

ESPN: How do you feel about your team this season? Do you see them defending the UHL Championship, in this, the fifth anniversarry of the Chicago Inferno?

Victoria Hill: Not under my power I don't. *laughs*

ESPN: How do you think the new position changes will work out. Like Eric Follman moving to Left Wing?

Victoria Hill: I don't know Stuart. We'll let Jordan Charles Jr. take care of that. I don't handle any of the player management. Frankly, I don't care or am not interested in lineups, or player movement.

ESPN: Well, Victoria, thanks for coming in. *pauses* Good luck in the future.

Victoria Hill: *standing up* Finally, now I can get out here.

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, Before Teams First Practice)

*It's getting to that time of the year when all the players off season's at home are ending, and they are reporting back to Chicago for camp. After last seasons championship win, fans are packed outside of Inferno Arena, waiting for the team bus to arrive to show their thanks once again after a great last season. The bus eventually pulls up, and the players start getting off one by one. The Inferno aren't a complete team just yet, as they are missing one position, at right wing. Many think Kerin Mitchell will fit that role in the future however. First off the bus is coach Jordan Charles Sr. The former Inferno player on the ice converted to coach waves at all the fans. They all know how important a good coach is when winning a championship, and they show him love for that. Next is Eric Follman. Follman has turned himself into an experienced UHL player, and one of the few that has been here since the beginning. Follman recieves a great applause, as he is now the assistant captain of the team. Jordan Charles Jr. is next off the bus. Charles Jr., a rookie last season, had a great year defensively, and tallied 23 points in his first season. The last one of the bus, is captain of the team Chad Fellers. Fellers, a man since the beginning, has been the face of the franchise since season two, where he led the UHL in points. Now, he represents the Inferno as the captain, and doesn't do so much off the ice stuff that got him and the team in trouble in the early years.*

*After the team is all done recieving their cheers and applause, they all head to the locker room, to recieve a talking to from head coach Jordan Charles Sr. Jordan wants to go over what has gone down in the offseason with the team, in person.*

Coach: Alright fellas. Take a seat. First off, congrats once again to all of us on last season. We finally took Chicago to the promise land and delivered the city a UHL Championship, after only three seasons. We here at Chicago, take hockey seriously, and we'd hate to be brought down by anyone. That's what gets me to my next point. This off season. As you may know, the Inferno were bought by Victoria Hill, a woman who has already clearly expressed her interest in moving the team to Las Vegas in the future. For that to happen, we would have to be unsuccessful for the next few years.

Eric Follman: You kiddin' us coach?

Coach: No, not at all. For her to succeed, she will attempt to shut out every possible way of helping our team succeed. Basically, the little things. Like hot water, great transportation, and good trainers. We will still have to meet the league requirements, but we'll have to tough it out, but I'm sure if we prove to her that we're not moving, she will give up within a few seasons.

Chad Fellers: *sighs* This blows. Right after we win a championship, this bitch has to come in here and ruin everything. Why the hell did she even get the team?

Coach: She offered the Tribune, our former owner, an amount of money they couldn't refuse. She wants us to move to Las Vegas, but we refuse to just leave this beautiful city.

Eric Follman: We have so many great memories here. We can't just....leave.

Coach: Exactly. That's why we have to prove to ourselves, and that bitch, that we won't back down.

*The guys are all upset. They'll be without things they took for granted, like hot water, a team charter jet, and great food for now. But if they get past it, they know Victoria Hill will hit the road and give up.*

Coach: Also, I'd like to address our possible fill ins for the rest of the team. Currently, we're in talks with former Inferno players Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell. Michael Croom is much closer to signing a deal than Kerin Mitchell, but it'd be a great thing for the city if they both returned to their former teams. These are guys, as you know, that I played with my two years in Chicago, and they were both very big fan favorites.

Chad Fellers: Ahh this would be great. We've really missed those guys.

Coach: Very great. Kerin Mitchell is going through financial problems currently, and he wants to get that all sorted out before committing to the Inferno. Michael Croom, as you guys probably know, was off in Iraq for the past two years fighting for our country, so he might be a bit rusty on the ice, but being the great guy he is, we have to resign him if he wants to lace up the skates again. I'll let you guys know more in the future, but right now, lets lace them up, and hit the ice. We won't be having a full on practice due to positions not all being filled, but we will get some work done.

(The team gets all their gear on, and prepares for practice. The guys all can't stop thinking of how awesome it'd be to reunite with Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell after two seasons. For now, it's just a thought, but hopefully in the near future, it'll be a reality.)

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, Before Team Practice)

*The Inferno are still in opening camp, waiting for the season to arrive. Chicago only has three guarnteed players on the roster, in Chad Fellers(C), Eric Follman(A), and Jordan Charles Jr. Many think Michael Croom and Kerin Mitchell are the other two guys that are expected to suit up in Inferno gear on opening night. The league has announced its rule changes for next season, with only a few interesting notes.*

Eric Follman: *excited* You guys hear the new announcement from the league?!?!

Jordan Charles Jr: From how excited you are, I'm guessing they've announced a Justin Bieber promotion night?

Eric Follman: Good one, Crimsion. But no, they've announced that we can officially, without being fined, do our own celebrations next year. Last year we couldn't do anything too raunchy, otherwise the league would fine us. Remember, Chad, you finished third in the league in total fines.

Chad Fellers: *smiles to himself* Yeah, you're right.

Jordan Charles Jr: Nice. This means I can plan some cool celebrations before each game.

Eric Follman: Yeah, but to do that, you have to score goals. So unless you're doing assist celebrations, good luck.

Jordan Charles Jr: *mumbles* fuck off.

Eric Follman: *walking up to Chad now* Guess what else they announced?

Chad Fellers: *not caring* What?

Eric Follman: They announced that we'll be using new sticks, that are much lighter. They can actually break now, unlike those sticks last season. They bastards were practically made of steel. This should be pretty cool though.

(The team goes through another average day at Inferno Practice Arena, and head to the hotel afterwards. Soon enough, this practice will pay off, as opening day is only a couple weeks away.)

Inferno Picking Up Heat; Attempting To Fill Roster As They Sign Two Players

krown.png

Brandon Ferguson could be starting on the defensive side of the puck come opening night

Chicago, IL- After laying low on the roster filling side for a while, newly appointed owner of the Inferno, Victoria Hill has signed two players to the Inferno: LD Brandon Ferguson, and G Ron Marini.

Many find one of these signings a bit sketchy. Ron Marini, a man whose life was turnt around after a terrible car crash killing his children, is the current boyfriend of team owner Victoria Hill. Hill claims he "earned the spot", but many think he is just on the team due to his relations with Hill. We'll have to wait and find out if he's the real deal, or a complete bust.

Both players have been signed after a tryout put on by the Inferno last night. Chicago has been looking for defensive help, as Michael Croom is not guarnteed to be playing every game for the Inferno this season. Croom and Ferguson are expected to possibly share time, if one of them doesn't impress and earn the starting role at left defense.

goa.png

Ron Marini is sketchy to many, due to him dating team owner Victoria Hill

Ron Marini, many whom call him "The Goat", a high school nick name that stayed with him throughout his career, is a former goalie in the NHL (National Hockey League), before it was disbanded in 2009, now joins the Chicago Inferno in hopes of capturing a championship somewhat late in his career. "I just really want to get on the winning side of a team. I haven't been lucky enough to stick around a winning team for awhile, so hopefully this works out. And hell, my girlfriends the owner! *laughs*" said the goalie to reporters after accepting the Inferno's 2 year contract offer. The veteran was looking for a four year deal, but the Inferno offered two years, or nothing, and Marini accepted.

The Inferno are now hoping to sign a couple more players on the ice, to finally fill out their entire roster spot. Many still believe Kerin Mitchell's return to the Inferno is imminent, but we have yet to hear from the Swede. Mitchell is currently having financial issues.

Ronaldo “The Goat” Marini | Pos: G | Age: 33 | Num: 77 | Player Type: The Grizzly Veteran
Before- Ronaldo Marini was a huge bear in the NHL. Before the demise of it he lead all goalies in the league for save % and goals against average. Then his life went upside down when his wife left him after his kids were killed in a car wreck. He began drinking and his life spiraled downhill from there. Everyone thought he was washed up until he met the girl of his dreams. Victoria Hill, she had the qualities he admired, money, boobs and a former stripper.
Now- Marini's life was a mess and she was just the one to turn it around. Marini was then placed on the Inferno roster to see if he could actually turn his life around and maybe one day make peace with his kids and be one of the “Greatest of All Time” once again.
CONTRACT: 2 YEARS, 5 MILLION
CAREER STATS: 0 Wins 0 Losses 0 OTL 0 Shutouts 0.00 GAA

Brandon Ferguson | Pos: LD | Age: 21 | Num: 73 | Player Type: The guy other teams love to hate
Before- Brandon Ferguson is a Solid two way defense men from a small town in Kentucky. At the age of 12 He moved to Las Vegas where he found his passion for hockey. He played for the UNLV Rebels NCAA hockey team for 3 years before he decided to make a move for the Pros.
Now- Brandon Ferguson is the up-and-coming star defense men for the Chicago Inferno. At 6'3 210 lbs. he is a monster on the ice with a monster of a shot. He has been practicing and hanging out with the team building a strong chemistry level with veterans. Now he has his spot, and waiting to make his mark in Inferno history.

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room)

*The Inferno are starting to get things rolling. They have just finalized signing two more players to contracts, in defensivemen Brandon Ferguson, and Ron Marini. Chad, Eric, and Jordan Charles Jr. all discuss things that are going on around the team.*

Chad Fellers: *walking over to Eric and Jordan who are in the middle of a conversation*

Eric Follman: *trying to convince Jordan* I'm telling you man, give Justin Beiber a chance. His music is actually pretty damn good. I'll let you borrow his newest CD---*notices Chad* NO JORDAN I don't listen to this fag. Take your CD back *throws CD at Jordan* Wassup Chad???

Chad Fellers: I'm not even gonna ask what was going on here. Anyway, it looks like we've signed two more guys to the team. Supposedly, these guys will arrive in the city tonight. Hopefully they're not douchebags like some of the guys we've got in the past.

Eric Follman: *laughs* yeah, like that Lanteri guy. What a douche.

Chad Fellers: I just wanted to let you guys know though. So we'll have to start getting things going at practice, and getting some chemistry with these guys before the season starts. But now that practice is over, you guys wanna hit up Harry Carrys downtown with me? I haven't been there in a while, so I thought we'd all go check it out. Maybe call some ladies over there....?

Eric Follman: Sure man, I'm always down for the bitches. Lemme get ready. You guys just wanna meet in the parking lot in fifteen?

Jordan Charles Jr: Sure man...but what am I gonna do? I'm not even 21 yet?

Chad Fellers: Dude, you play for the Inferno. We just won a CUP for this city. They're gonna let you in.

Jordan Charles Jr: Sounds good to me.

*The guys all head to the team bathroom, which hasn't been cleaned since Victoria Hill became team owner. A lot of things haven't been cleaned since she became owner. Anyway, fifteen mintues go by and the guys all head to the parking lot. They hop in Eric's 2010 Escalade, and head downtown to Harry Carry's bar. The guys head to the bar, and Eric immediately wants service.*

Eric Follman: *yelling* Waitress!!!

Waitress: *walking up* Yes?

Eric Follman: Gimme a Captain on the rocks. And please hurry up. *the waitress hurries and makes the drink, and hands it to Eric*

Eric Follman: *drinking his drink* Thanks. It better be good. *sighs* Well guys, this is the times we better enjoy now. Cause once season starts, we gotta focus....*busts up laughing* SIKEEE. Imma be goin out and gettin mine EVERY NIGHT, yo.

Chad Fellers: Allllright. That captain must be getting to you already.

Eric Follman: DUDE?! Check it out. *comes closer to Chad* You see that guy? Wearing the white suit over there...I know that guy from somewhere....*scratches his head*..where the hell do I know him from?? Hmmm...*it hits him* THATS WHERE. That bastard went to highschool!

Jordan Charles Jr: You're tripping man. You're gonna be cut off here in a minute if you don't calm your ass down.

Eric Follman: *drinks entire glass of Captain* You're just mad cause you can't even drink. That guy was a douchebag. I'm gonna go give that guy a piece of my mind. *leaves to talk to guy in suit*

Chad Fellers: *walking up to Jordan* Guess what? I guess these guys we just signed are gonna be here tonight. Their names are Brandon Ferguson and Ron Marini.

*Meanwhile, Eric Follman approaches the man he remembers from high school.*

Eric Follman: *clearly drunk, and tapping on the mans shoulder* Hey, guy. . . . .

Man in suit: Yes?

Eric Follman: *trying to sound like a badass, but slurring his words* What you doin here?

Man in suit: Umm, I don't think I know you. But I'm just waiting for my hockey teammates to arrive here.

Eric Follman: *sips his drink, and says slowly* Well, you're teams not as good as ours.

Man in suit: *smiles* What team do you play for?

Eric Follman: You calling me a liar?!?!?

*Eric jumps on the guy, too drunk to care about his consequences. The man in the suit quickly takes the upper hand on the fight, as he puts Eric in a chokehold. Chad and Jordan notice whats going on, and head over to the fight. The man in the suit has another friend with him, that also helps calm the fight.*

Jordan Charles Jr: *pulling Eric off the man in the suit* dude, I'm tottally sorry. My friend here is hammered, and he thought he knew you from somewhere. *looks at Eric* What the hell do you think you were doing Eric?!?

Man in suit: Eric? Eric...Follman? I knew I knew you from somewhere....This is really weird.

Chad Fellers: What? How do you know him?

Man in suit: I knew Eric back in high school....and I was told to come here tonight by a lady named Victoria Hill. I just got signed to the Chicago Inferno, and believe it or not, *smiles*.....we're your new teammates. *looks at Ron* This is my friend Ron Marini. He also just got signed to the team as well. I'm Brandon. Brandon Ferguson.

Jordan Charles Jr: *sighs* Wow, this is crazy. Well.....*laughs* welcome to the team, man.

*Chad and Jordan Eric get off the floor. He is practically passed out on the floor. The two drag him to his car, and let him sleep in the back for the rest of the night. They than head inside to catch up with the new guys. Chad and Jordan get along well with the two, but are still a little worried on how Eric will get along with Brandon. Brandon tells the guys about how he used to pick on Eric in high school, as he used to date Erics sister.*

Brandon Ferguson: I was always at the kids house. I felt kinda bad because I used to pick on him a lot, even though I was younger than him. He was a late bloomer, if you know what I mean. *everyone laughs* But anyway, I think thats why he jumped on me. He wanted some revenge. But it's good to be here. I think I speak for myself and Ron when I say, this Inferno team should be a fun one this season.

(The guys continue to drink together and have a good time. Maybe this year really will be one to remember for the Chicago Inferno.)

(Scene Takes Place At Team Hotel)

*The five Inferno guys are all sitting at the hotel, bored after the days practice. Chad and Jordan Charles Jr are in Chad's room, watching sportscenter. Eric Follman is in the hotel lobby on facebook. Ron Marini and Brandon Ferguson are both in their own rooms, talking to their wives on the phone about their new team.*

Chad Fellers: *sighs* Sportscenter is always about the same shit. Yankees, Red Sox, Patriots, Jets, Giants, Bret Favre. East coast teams. Give us some love.

Jordan Charles Jr: I know, eh? I love it when we're in Canada and can actually watch TSN. They know what's up. Hockey all day, everyday.

*Chad and Jordan continue to watch Sports Center. The Top 10 plays of the day are now showing, but Chad's eyes are following the UHL headlines at the bottom of the screen. Chad let's out a scream as an Inferno headline passes the bottom of the screen.*

UHL2.png

Chad Fellers: *fist pump* HELL YEAH!!! Crooms BACK! You'll love this guy Jordan. He's a funny as dude. *gets off his seat* I gotta go tell Eric. He'll love this. Where is his punk ass anyway?

Jordan Charles Jr: *laughs* I think he's playing Runescape or something in the lobby.

*Chad runs downstairs, skipping steps at a time. Chad wanted two things this off season. To sign Michael Croom, and to sign Kerin Mitchell. He is relieved to see one of the two guys making their return to the team. Chad finds Eric surfing through facebook on the hotel's lobby computer, with a few people waiting in line for their turn with the computer.*

Eric Follman: *looking at the people behind him, waiting to use the computer* You guys don't need this. Do you even know who I play FOR???.......The Chicago Inferno. So get outta here! Come back later! *Chad runs up to him, out of breath*

Chad Fellers: *panting* Damn, I need to do more cardio. I can barely breathe....but anyway man, guess who we just got?!

Eric Follman: Who man?...*mean mugs the people waiting again*

Chad Fellers: Michael Croo--

Eric Follman: *interrupts* WOOOOOOOO!!!! Croom was my best friend. He always made fun of me cause he loved me, ya know?

Chad Fellers: *small laugh* Yeah, *sarcastically* that's why.

*Chad and Eric talk about some of the stuff they did when Croom was on the team, and how much more fun the locker room was going to be now. Eventually Chad comes up with the idea to go out and celebrate his arrival at the bar. The guys get all ready, and Chad's phone starts vibrating. It's a call from the team owner, Victoria Hill. He quickly answers*

Chad Fellers: Hello?

Victoria Hill: *elegant tone of voice* Hi, Chad. I don't know if you have gotten the information in your little confined hotel, but we have signed former Inferno player Michael Croom to a contract. He will be arriving at the hotel shorty. please treat him with respect, even though I know it is hard for you all to do. That is all. Bye. *hangs up*

Chad Fellers: Wow, what a bitch. *changes attitude* BUT, she told me Croom will be here at the hotel tonight!

Eric Follman: Nice! He's gonna be so excited when he sees me!...Guess we're just gonna wait for him here than huh??

Chad Fellers: Yep. It just blows that it's raining, otherwise we could go outside and wait. *Sits down in couch, and turns on ESPN.*

Chad Fellers: Well, what do ya know?!? More Sports Center...*mumbles* dammit...

*Time goes by, as Chad and Eric wait in the lobby waiting for Michael Croom to arrive. The two get up from their couch when they see a taxi cab arrive at the front of the hotel, and out steps a 6"2, black man step out from the cab in the rain, smiling. It's Michael Croom..thats for sure. The two guys run outside into the rain to greet their missed teammate, who spent two years in Iraq, but is now returned. Croom notices the two, and releases a big smile and laugh.*

Chad Fellers: *hugs Michael Croom* Damn man, it's been too long. Why didn't you ever text or call me bro?!?

Michael Croom: *southern accent* Well shit man, I lost all my numbers when I got back from Iraq. I lost my phone when I was overseas. But dammmnnn, how have you guys been!?!

Chad Fellers: Fucking good man. We've got so much to tell you. You know anything of whats gone on since you've been gone?

Michael Croom: Nahh man, I got back probably a week ago, and I've been with family since. I've had no time to go look up the Inferno history.

Chad Fellers: Well, I'll have to show you our recap video than..It goes over what's gone on, and all the guys we've had. It's a really------

Eric Follman: *interrupts* Dude, CROOM!!! Wattup best friend!?! *grabs Croom, attempting to give him a bear hug*

Michael Croom: Ohhhh goddddd. Fuckin' Eric. Man, you look a little older now.

Chad Fellers: Guys, lets head inside. It's pouring out here, and we've got a lot to catch up about. I'll introduce you to the new teammates too.....

(Chad, Michael, and Eric, all soaked, head inside the hotel to catch up about everything that's gone on in Michael Croom's life while hes been gone. The team will feel much more lively now that the biggest character the Inferno has ever had is back, and hopefully to stay.)

(Scene Takes Place In Team Locker Room, while the team is getting prepared for their ritual Saturday afternoon practice)

*The Inferno are as lively as ever, after Michael Croom's arrival. Chad, Eric, and Croom have been spending a lot of time catching up, and having a great time while doing it. The team is more upbeat than ever, and we can see that just by taking a look inside the locker room.*

Eric Follman: *shoots little rubber basketball into the small hoop, resting on manager Jordan Charles' door* That's an "E" for you Croom! That's right, I win! I eliminated you and Jordan! But Jordan sucks at everything so I'm used to beating him.

Michael Croom: *upset* That's some bullsheeeeetttt!!!

Jordan Charles Jr: Ehhh...lucky shot I guess.

Eric Follman: *cocky* I'm never lucky. It's pure skill.

Chad Fellers: *walks into the room to see Eric on top of the team bench dancing and fist pumping* okkkkayyy??? *Eric notices and gets off the bench quickly* Well guys, let's lace up the skates. It's time for our first team practice with Michael Croom at left defense. Just like old times....

Brandon Ferguson: *whispers to Ron Marini* This guy isn't taking my starting spot is he??

Ron Marini: Ahh I don't know man. He has been here a while. You might have to prove yourself off the bench.

Brandon Ferguson: *still mumbling* Fuck, thats bullshit.

*The team all lace up their skates, and head to the ice for a team practice. Michael Croom and Jordan Charles Jr. look to be the starting defensive pair for opening night. The Inferno still have yet to find their starting RW, however. The practice goes well, as coach Jordan Charles Sr is impressed for the most part. The team now heads back into the locker room to get ready for the night. Jordan Charles Sr. addresses the team briefly.*

Coach: Well guys, it looks like the team is really shaping up, and the regular season is just around the corner. We're going to have to take things seriously this year, as everyone out there are going to want to beat us, due to us being the defending champs. I've got some bad news however. Our owner, Victoria Hill, has limited the spending limit once again, meaning that you'll all be having roomates this season. So, I need to know whose pairing with who? This will not only be on the road, but at the team hotel as well.

Eric Follman: *quickly* I call Michael Croom!

Michael Croom: *quickly* NO you DON'T!

Chad Fellers: Croom you wanna pair?

Michael Croom: Sure man.

Eric Follman: FUCK! Dammit....*sighs* Jordan....you wanna room?

Jordan Charles Jr: Sure man.

Ron Marini: Brandon, you down?

Brandon Ferguson: Sure dude. I guess we have to pair. We're the only two left.

Coach: Alright, that's taken care of. She's also cut down on the amount of hot water for showering, person trainer experience, and much more. But this won't stop us like I've said in the past. We'll get through it, and make sure this bitch is out of here.

Michael Croom: *whispering to Chad* Damn, whoever this chick is, she sounds like a bitch.

Chad Fellers: *whispering* Definantly.

Coach: For now guys, take it easy. We don't want to get too buck wild, and wind up sitting on the bench for opening night. *looks at Michael Croom, smiling* Alright. Get outta here guys *retreats back to his office*

*The guys all take off their hockey gear, and meet at the middle of the locker room, as Chad explains whats going on for the night.*

Eric Follman: Alright fellas, I know coach said to relax until opening night, but fuck that. Croom's back, and we're celebrating.

Brandon Ferguson: *says to himself* Great, who cares that this guys back?

Chad Fellers: We'll be heading to Croom's choice of club for the night.

Michael Croom: That's wassup!! Imma pick that Elixir club that we always went to back in the day. Oh and Eric's paying for everything! He said it's his treat, right Eric?

Eric Follman: Uhhh...I guess?

Chad Fellers: Alright, let's get outta here.

*The team gets into their best clothes for the night, as they all will look to have a great Saturday night out in downtown Chicago. They all clean up, and head to parking lot together as usual.*

Eric Follman: We taking my car again?

Jordan Charles Jr: Sure, man. Croom hasn't rode in it yet. He'll love it.

Michael Croom: *talking to Chad* Wanna do it like the old times?

Chad Fellers: *laughs* Sure.

Michael Croom: *Grabs Eric by the back of the shirt, and points to the trunk* Hop in.

Eric Follman: *resisting* I'm not a rookie anymore man. Have Brandon ride in the trunk!

Michael Croom: Good idea. *throws Eric in the trunk*

*Michael Croom than looks at Brandon Ferguson, and rolls his eyes towards the trunk, hinting to Brandon to hop in. Brandon, clearly scared of Croom's 6"2 250 pound, presence, does as Croom wishes, and hops in the trunk with Eric.*

Michael Croom: *smiling* Have fun boys....oh and watch your fingers. *shuts the trunk...the entire rest of the team outside the car start laughing uncontrollably*

Jordan Charles Jr: *laughing hysterically* That's too great man! Pure gold.

Eric Follman: *from inside the trunk* Shut up, Jordan!!

Ron Marini: *laughing* Alright, let's get outta here guys.

Michael Croom: This man has got a point..I'm driving!

Eric Follman: *from inside the trunk* Oh, great. He gets to drive, too....

*Michael Croom sits himself in the drivers seat, while Chad sits passenger. Jordan Charles Jr and Ron Marini seat themselves in the back seat comfortably, while Eric Follman and Brandon Ferguson lie in the trunk, practically on top of eachother*

Eric Follman: *from inside the trunk* move your leg you bastard.

Brandon Ferguson: No dude, move yours!

Eric Follman: Look dude, I've been on this team for like five years. I'm respected arond here....so back off! *Brandon moves his leg*

*Croom slams on the pedal, making sure Eric and Brandon feel a bumpy ride into downtown Chicago.*

Ron Marini: *laughing* Hey a speedbump! Hit it!

Michael Croom: *smiles as he drives into the speed bump* I like this guy already.

*The guys arrive downtown at Club Elixir ten minutes later. Michael and the crew get out of the car and open the trunk, letting Eric and Brandon out. The team walks up to the door, skipping the line. Now that the Inferno are Champions, things like waiting in line aren't necassarry.*

Chad Fellers: *puts his hands out stopping the guys from passing him* Alright fellas. Let's have a great night! *puts his hands down*

Michael Croom: I'm thinking about filling one thing on my bucket list tonight guys....

Brandon Ferguson: What would that be?

Michael Croom: To have sex with a white chick. It's never happened. I've only done it with the black girls, a few mexicans, and a hand full of asians. But never a white girl. I'm changing that tonight.

Brandon Ferguson: *shaking his head* If you say so....

*The guys walk into the club, to notice it's just as lively and exciting as it was three years ago when Michael Croom and the guys would party here every chance they got. It's unusual that the guys got a chance to party on a Saturday night. The team warms up by heading to the bar and taking shots provided by Eric Follman. Than, a few of the guys hit the dance floor, while Brandon Ferguson and Jordan Charles Jr sit at a table together, and start up a conversation. Jordan Charles Jr. appears to be drunk after only one shot.*

Jordan Charles Jr: *smiling, as he removed his ID from his wallet* I love my fake ID. I forgot to thank Croom for getting me one of these so quickly.

Brandon Ferguson: Dude are you drunk already?

Jordan Charles Jr: *slurring his words* Umm...yeah dude. Me and my Dad are lightweights man. We can't hold our liquor. He told me some funny stuff about when he used to drink with Chad, Eric, and Michael Croom when he played for the Inferno.

Brandon Ferguson: Well liven up man, or you're not going to make it through the night.

Michael Croom: Why are you over here anyway? Go over there and talk to the girls.

Brandon Ferguson: *nervous* Ehh...no man. *lying* I get so many ladies back home....that I don't have to get them here.

Jordan Charles Jr: Sure ya do, virgin.

Brandon Ferguson: *voice gets quiet* How'd you know?

Jordan Charles Jr: I might be drunk, but I'm not an idiot. I can tell. It's obvious.

Brandon Ferguson: Just don't tell the other guys, please?

Jordan Charles Jr: *laughs* Sure.

*Chad, Ron and Eric head back to the table. Chad and Eric have girls on their arms, as Ron is in a relationship he doesn't want to mess up with team owner Vicoria Hill. Michael Croom is no where to be found. For now, the guys ignore it, as most of them are either drunk or trying to get laid.*

Jordan Charles Jr: *laughing* guess what, guys?!

All the guys, excluding Brandon Ferguson: What?

Jordan Charles Jr: This guy...*points at Brandon* is a virgin. He told me....isn't it cute??

Ron Marini: *laughing* That's why you didn't come to the dance floor with us?! Scared to meet a little Chicago hottie are ya? *bursts into laughter*

Eric Follman: *laughing* Noob. What a fag....

*The guys contine to rag on Brandon for being a virgin, while Chad slowly walks away from the group, to look for Michael Croom. It is his night after all.*

Chad Fellers: *to himself* Where could that bastard be....??

*Chad walks around a little more..but to no avail. Chad whips out his phone, and texts Croom "where you at man?". He waits a minute, than gets a reply. "With a white chick mayneee. Told u bout the bucket list! It's happenin as we speak! I'm upstairs...Room 22...this girls a FREAK! Come on up. We're almost done." Chad, smiling at the text, walks up the stairs to the VIP rooms. Chad gets to room 22, and knocks on the door. Croom, smiling answers the door. Chad notices the girl he was with, and his jaw drops.*

Chad Fellers: *whispers to Croom* Dude.....that's Victoria Hill!

Michael Croom: *loses his smile* Oh, shit.

(TO BE CONTINUED.)

Inferno Sign LD, Dustin Thompson

14-2.png

The Chicago Inferno have big expectations for Thompson

Chicago, IL- After securing some solid bench players in Brandon Ferguson, Ron "The Goat" Marini and Michael Croom the Chicago Inferno have locked up what could be their final piece to repeat as UHL Champions.

Left Defenseman, Dustin Thompson and the Chicago Inferno have come to terms and a deal has been agreed upon and Thompson will report to practice immediately, though terms of the deal have not been released to the public.

The 27-year old defenseman out of Boston College has been a journeyman in the NHL playing for such teams as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers where he played alongside Chris Pronger.

Thompson will join the first defensive line along with sophmore, Jordan Charles Jr.

The Inferno will have some work to do as they only have a matter of days until the season starts, will Thompson be ready?

Chicago, IL- The Inferno's fifth annual season is underway, and the Inferno made sure they did things tonight in big fashion. They led off the game with opening ceromonies, including the championship banner lift from last season. Than, play got underway. Chicago was a bit slow at first, but got extremely hot late in the game, as they scored all four of their goals in the third period.

Chicago, IL- As Chicago enters its second game of the season, fans hope to see another Inferno win. Unfortunately, they didn't get that tonight, as Chicago lost a game against a tough team, 4-2.
Chicago looked as if they were going to come back, after a tough goal off the stick of Jordan Charles Jr into his own net, and another breakaway goal. But the Inferno will just have to go out there next time and play their game.

(Scene Takes Place In Downtown Chicago Club, In VIP Room after Chad finds Michael Croom)

*The Inferno have been partying it up tonight in the club. As Michael Croom said before the night started, he wanted to check off an accomplishment on his bucket list. That being, "bang a white chick". He can cross that off, but this was not the way Croom wanted to do it. Chicago Inferno team owner, Victoria Hill, is refreshing herself in the bathroom, while Michael Croom chats with Chad at the door of the VIP room. Chad tells Croom that it was indeed Victoria Hill who he was in the room with, and immediately Croom knows this is a bad situation. Victoria is currently dating Inferno goalie Ron Marini, who has no idea this is going on.*

Chad Fellers: *paniced* Yo, we gotta get you outta here. Ron cannot find out about this. He'll kill you man.

Michael Croom: *nods his head* Exactly. Let's get outta here.

*Michael Croom quickly looks around the room, picking up all his items of clothing that lie on the floor. He gathers them, and as he does, Victoria Hill slightly turns around at Croom, giving him a small smirk as Croom leaves the room. She is up to something, that's for sure.*

Chad Fellers: Dude, let's get back to the hotel. I've seen enough for one night.

Michael Croom: Definantly....

*Chad and Croom head back to their room at the hotel, while Jordan, Ron, and Brandon all sit inside the club. Eric is still passed out in the backseat of his car. On their way back, Chad explains to Croom how Ron Marini is dating Victoria Hill. For now, Chad and Croom vow not to tell anyone what happened, but they have an eerie feeling everyone will be finding out shortly. They head to sleep. The night goes by, and Michael Croom wakes up to his phone ringing. He immediately think it's his fiance back home, but as he looks at the number, he does not recognize it.*

Michael Croom: *answers the phone* Hello?

Ron Marini: *angry* Yo what the fuck do you think you were doing with my women last night?

Michael Croom: *playing dumb* Who is this?

Ron Marini: Don't play dumb you fuck. You know who it is. You're gonna pay for what you did. Mark my words....

*Michael Croom, not thinking and hungover, hangs up the phone and puts his head back onto his pillow, falling asleep quickly. Chad, fast asleep across the room, has no idea what just happened as well. The two rest for about an hour, and awake to a loud bang on the door.*

Michael Croom: What the fuck was that?....*pause*....*BANG*

Chad Fellers: Dude, someone's hitting the door with something!

Michael Croom: *knowing who it is* Crazy bastard!

Chad Fellers: Who you talking about?

Michael Croom: Dude it's Ron. He must've found out about last night somehow.

Chad Fellers: FUCK! I knew that chick was up to something the way she smiled at you when we were leaving last night...*BANG*....I think it's a bat he's hitting it with or something.

Ron Marini: *shouting* Open up you bastard!

Michael Croom: *calm, peeking through door hole* Bro, you're gonna have to drop that bat if you want in here. We need to talk.

Ron Marini: *playing along* Whatever, fine. *drops bat*

*Michael Croom waits a moment, than opens the door. Ron stands there, looking at Michael Croom for a second. His eyes start to fill with rage. Croom notices and attempts to slowly shut the door back on Ron, but Ron grabs the door, pushes himself inside, grabbing the bat in one motion and swinging. He knicks Croom in his left eye, leaving an immediate black eye. Croom quickly changes the momentum of the fight, as he lands a quick jab to the jaw of Ron, knocking him out cold. Croom gets up off the floor, mad at himself for letting Ron inside the room.*

Michael Croom: Dammit, I knew I shouldn't of let the dude in here. I needa go talk to this chick. She obviously told him what happened.

*Michael makes his way out of the hotel, black eye in tact, and to Inferno Headquarters. He leaves it to himself to walk to Victoria Hill's office, and let's himself in. Victoria is seen sitting at her desk on the phone as usual. She notices Croom entering her office.*

Victoria Hill: *to the person on the phone* I'm gonna have to call you back...bye.

Michael Croom: Why didn't you tell me?

Victoria Hill: What do you mean?...*gets up from her seat, and makes her way to Croom, touching his black eye* Awww...did someone find out what happened between us?

Michael Croom: Why'd you tell him?

Victoria Hill: I didn't tell him. He just happened to recieve one of the few pictures I took last night of our good time on his phone. *sarcasticlly* I wonder who could've done that?

Michael Croom: You son of a bi----

Victoria Hill: *interrupting Croom* Now, watch what you say here. You're contract or playing time could be on the line right here....*pauses. Victoria walks over to her desk again, and grabs a picture of her smiling brightly on the strip of Las Vegas* You know, I've always loved Las Vegas. The lights, the people, the money. It's a shame we're stuck in this town isn't it?.....I mean, let's say we happen to have a few bad seasons in a row. You think they'd let us move to Las Vegas?...*Croom stands speachless* I think they would. Than, I could release all of you bums and start my own team. A team in the greatest city in the world.....Not this piece of trash city....*she puts the picture back down, and sits back in her seat*...Now, Michael if you'd like to leave, I have much work to do.

Michael Croom: *turns around, leaving, and mumbles* Bitch.....

[Michael Croom heads back to the hotel. Team practice is only two hours away, and man o' man is this next practice going to be awkward for more than just one person. Victoria Hill looks like her plan is working....to dismantle the team]

Chicago, IL- Chicago, after winning their first game looked a little tired in game number two. Tonight, in game number three, Brandon Ferguson made his Inferno debut on defense.
The Inferno just couldn't get any offense going tonight, as they only totalled four shots through two periods, and tallied six shots in the third.

Chicago, IL- After back to back losses, the Inferno needed a good win tonight. The entire game Chicago outplayed the opposing team, even down 1-0 late in the third. Chad Fellers than shot a wrister high, hitting the goalies glove, and going right to Eric Follman, who got the rebound in to tie the game at one.
In OT, a good faceoff win to a slapshot ended up winning the game for the Inferno.

Chicago, IL- Chicago, off to a mediocre 2-2-0 start, looked for a good home game tonight, and they got just that. This ended up being a great game to watch, as the Inferno tied it up, and got the go ahead goal late. With only 6 seconds remaining the Adult Hockey team tied the game, bringing it into OT.
In triple OT, off the opening faceoff, Jordan CHarles Jr took a slap shot, deflected by Chad Fellers, who won the game.
