I really hope that gets Wilson out of his funk. It'd be nice for him to rediscover the pitcher he was in Detroit. Considering the circumstances, gotta give the guy credit for getting the Cubs out of that situation with minimal damage. Now the ridiculous send an inning earlier looks even worse.

Not enough to affect the inning, but he compounds the mistake with ejections.

Sorry ass ump is think skinned.

The Cardinals radio play by play - John Rooney - is as biased as they come. And even HE admitted it was unquestionably a strike.

Oh well.....just keep scoring.

However, we will use more bullpen arms today than we would have, and it may hurt tomorrow.

Schwarber needs to start driving in someone other than himself. He's been absolute trash with runners on. Jay comes through, though.

Strike 3 over the middle of the plate for the 3rd out called a ball leads to a run on the next pitch buy it didn't affect the inning?

Sounds like a one run screwup on the umpire.

It did but didn't affect the inning..

Ok he called it a ball but nothing happened because of it..

You got the pitcher up there 2 strikes 2 outs, come back and make another good pitch to get him..

NOT

Throw a meatball up in zone where he can handle it and line a single to center..

I worded that poorly - what I meant was "It's not enough that the ump affected that inning, he compounded it with the ejection.
