well, its a playoff position player lineup other than having Jay over Almora in center. Lets hope they take this series more serious than the one against the brewers who just got three free home games.

A win today would be a nice start to making these guys go away. Win today and tomorrow and they're basically toast.

To really be sure of winning this division I think the Cubs need to go 10-6 or a .625 winning percentage which should be achievable given their .638 percentage in the second half. Of those 10 wins I'd say 4 need to be against the Cards and 2 against the Brewers, although 3 and 3 would probably be fine as well.

I understand some, like when the pitcher is coming up or something. However, with Heyward and Baez up, and Martinez starting to struggle, that was a bad send. Should've made more pitches get thrown at the very least, especially under duress.

Horrible call, horrible actions by Lackey and Contreras. Baez coming in to push Willson out of the way probably saved a 3 games suspension.

Lackey deserved to be tossed for sure. Contreras actions after he was tossed was unacceptable. You see the mask hit the umpire.
