Anderson has a 2.81 ERA but sure he's terrible...
I never said he was terrible, I said medicore. Dont get me wrong though. He's having a good year 11-3 with a good 2.81 but overall he's average, he's not a ace.

Not really. The Cubs have made medicore pitchers look like aces.

Cubs are the NL's highest scoring team in second half, and one of top few in MLB for the year.

They are one ofthe highest scoring teams in the league. Yes, a mediocre MLB pitcher will have their stout days and look like studs.Happens to EVERY team throughout the year

2.81 ERA in final week of the season, and you are going to insist he is average?

I'll take an average 11-3 2.81 over and ace 11-3 with a 3.60 era

Well, for a mediocre pitcher, he has had a lot of stout days.

If you really think this is a fluke day, check his results all season.

Cards lose.

Cubs 6 outs from a win.

Unfortunately, Cubs can't clinch tomorrow in St. Louis, due to Brewers' off day. I will be there and would love to have been able to see the celebration.

But they can eliminate the Cards. (Yes, I am counting today's chickens already.)

No like I said before he's over all a average pitcher. Yes he's having good year, well above his normal.

Anderson has a 3.57 FIP a 1.1 WHIP and a very good 0.8 HR/9 only 2.7 BB/9 and 8.4 K/9

He has shown consistent improvement, mainly HR/9 and is keeping the ball in play. If his HR/9 (down from 1.7 last season) and BB/9 continue to improve,he will be a stud. He is underrated as it gets. I do not pay attention to H/9 that much as it has as much to do with the defense as it does with the pitcher, his H/9 is down almost 2 per game from his career average; a stat that is down because he isn't giving up that extra home run every 9 innings. The guys rookie autograph cards are going for dirt cheap atm.

I'm pretty sure that we can go into next year with Q as the ace
