NBA begins tonight with the Bulls opening up on Thursday. Let's hear your predictions in here. I'll start with one:

Over or Under 25 wins?

I say under.

Over because they'll find a way to ruin their chance at getting a star in the top 3 by just not getting the chance to draft one

I'll say under, but this team always finds a way to disappoint me.

I predict Bobby Portis beats Mirotics face and puts him in the hospital when confronted about a bump in practice through his thick accent.

seriously though,

25 wins is considered very bad. 10-15 and you are breaking records.

I think Dunn/Lauri Lavine is good enough to beat other totally broken or young teams. If we catch the Spurs on a 3 in 4 for instance, resting 4-5 starters, we might have a 50/50 chance.

The problem is Mirotic is fucked up, and he was going to be good for 20 points a night for stretches this season. Portis can't contribute. Lavine is hurt. Dunn is always hurt with something it seems.

If those 4-6 players aren't playing....and then we haven't even discussed injuries yet.

The coach looks lost and one of the worst 5, if not the worst, in all the NBA. I see nothing to indicate we have a functional system on either side of the ball or players to run it.

I will be proud of this team if they can avoid breaking 76er records. I'm not sure they can. 15 wins is my prediction.

that started sounding like Billy Madison rant on getting stupid. haha

To pile on with Hawk...

yes...actually if we watch any Bulls games this season we will have become stupider for doing so. At no point in the course of this entire season do I expect rotations, players, or this to even resemble NBA basketball.

The only reason why the Bulls would somehow win more than 25 is because they play in the East. But even then it's going to be a struggle.

I truthfully don't plan on watching them much this year. They're just awful.

The Bulls need to win the draft. I'll watch that and end of season Lauri/Dunn highlights.

I'll watch when they are trying to desperately win 3 games not to be the worst basketball team in the history of man at the end.
If the record is broken, it probably is Bobby Portis' fault. This team needed to win a few early, because once other teams get in rhytym or desperation, we trade Lopez presumably, etc...its going to be very very very bad.

Maybe lots of teams will rest stars against us, I see no reason not to just beat us with your bench.

Under by a bunch. I'd say that they win maybe 16 games this season.

New question:

Can they win 33.33% of games against Sacramento, Lakers, New York, Brooklyn, and Orlando.

If we had 45 games against maybe the only 5 teams we have a shot at, would we win 15?

1 out of 3? hmmmmmm....I would guess no. This team can't even win 1 out of 3 against the worst 5. When we get to the end, and are trying to understand just how bad they are in context to the worst teams ever....it might be interesting to think about how bad the teams would have to be for us to win 15 games.

And by the way, for others out of market,

tomorrow's game against Cleveland is on NBATV as well nationally. at the bar. etc.

I am excited to get my eyes on just how bad it is, how Hoiberg is dealing with it or not, and how long Lebron plays for.

I would think a conversation at halftime would shut him down....absolutley zero need to play against us.

I feel that Lue is suicidal to want a veteran team to run everyone out of the gym. What is he thinking? Love and Lebron and all those specialists could be part of the most powerful half court team in the league. They need to worry about efficiency, not out pounding everyone elses knees and hips at their size. I didn't get it in the finals, and I don't understand it now.

imo, this led to 70+ first half points for bulls. They wanted to run against a bunch of 22 year olds and thats is what they get. I mean....to do that to Golden State, lose games and keep telling your team to press the gas pedal more takes a special kind of stupid. They won't win like that, but at least they will use up Lebron before he ditches them again. I guess there is some justice in that.

Felder!! and Lauri can play basketballl. Lopez looks good. Same handful. Should net a pick if they have the sense to trade him before he gets injured trying to carry this team.

Nets had the worst record with 20 wins. The question is, with a toploaded league of 3-4 teams, can the other 26 make it closer of a league to the point that a 25 win team winds up still with the worst record?

I think the Bulls will be around 21 wins. Not because I think they are that bad in an already bad East, but mainly because I don't see this team having the health needed to make it to 25 wins. Things like the dormant leadership from Hoiberg, the building stress between a number of players, not just Niko and seven other guys that can't stand him.

When LaVine comes back, then we will really see what this team can do.

That is true. Where this team right now is a crime. And it was totally because of Reinny and his dopes for management. Who in the hell will pay good money to watch a Reinny team play?

Nope. They have managed to wind up with not one NBA caliber quality starting player on their entire roster. NOT ONE:( And what free agent in his right mind would sign with the Bulls? Certainly not anyone any good. Reinny screwed up the Bulls and is in the middle of screwing up the White Sox. OThers disagree with me on that one but to me, building a quality baseball team is a much tougher job than doing it in basketball.

Technically, Lopez is a quality starting player. So is Lavine in theory.

I just think we are going to start slow. So many new pieces, we don't come in with continuity.

We don't come in with Portis/Mirotic.

Lopez will be traded at some point if he keeps playing like this, but we are 5-25 or some abomination due to missing Portis/Mirotic/Lavine.

Once Lopez is gone, Portis/Felicio/Lauri are going to be holding down alot of defense and rebounding, good luck. Lavine is good, so when he returns from his ACL at 100% right off the bat(sarcasm), I'm sure we will start tearing up the league with our guard tandem.

This is gonna be bad, despite what I saw against Cleveland....actually making them straighten their spines and dig deep to beat the Bulls.

Lets not forget the history of the Bulls medical team, and bringing players back slowly. Lavine will be on a minutes restriction.

You're right. I am looking forward to when Lavine gets back and how he does. He does have an interesting upside and can be a highlight film assuming he makes it back all the way from injury.

At some point can you please stop the constant over-valuing of Portis, please? Thanks for now, he is just another scrub on a team full of scrubs.
