I the count is up to 26...in four games, the Cubs have issued 26 walks. Just under 7 a game....is it me or is that just about the last thing you should do when you can't score.

Why? That is the one move that has made sense!

What I don't get is he finally does NOT double switch, and it is in close game in which Davis bats 2nd in bottom of 8th.

At least this time he has defenders in, so it makes a lot more sense than last ten times.

But Davis.is not available for game 5. If he is, that's one tired arm

IF you watch pitch trax, half of them are on the line one way or another.

You can't lose Game 4 trying to keep a pitcher available for Game 5.

He could have made it thru the 8th by using pitching matchups instead of using wade. Makes even less sense when he didn't use Davis in game 2.

Lose the game, series and season with guys on the mound who couldn't get it done all postseason?

No. No amount of talking will convince me that would have been a good move.

You must manage to stay alive.

Just wanted to stop by and throw Cubs fans a bone.... I am a Sox fan, but I will root for the Cubs in the post-season.

That strikeout that was overruled as a foul tip.... I lost my fucking mind ala Maddon lol.

Good luck gents

I will add this to the Game 4 thread, however:

Huge, huge, HUGE tip of the hat to Jake Arrieta!

For the game, for his Cubs career (which I wish somehow could be extended).

What a stud! Kudos, Jake!

I predict Strop will be the closer role tonight.

Jake has been huge for us and I'll be forever grateful. I was too young to appreciate Bob Gibson's crazy run but I'm sure glad I saw Jake's in 2015. I don't expect to see anything like that ever again. I've wavered on this but the way he's reinvented himself this year I would love to see him back next year but I can't see the Cubs paying $175-$200 mil which I think he's played his way into and clearly earned.

Jesse Rogers said this as well. Strop could be the guy, or they could go straight matchups.
