Well Pierre, thanks for taking time out of your schedule to do this. First things first, how is your season coming along?
A: Its going good, I’m getting to the point where I am consistently throwing up offensive numbers, so that’s good.
Q: How does it feel being a part of the team?
A: It’s a great thing. I enjoy playing with these guys. They make it a fun experience.
Q: What are some things the team could work on that they are aware of?
A: Well the main thing is that we need to work on getting our team game consistent.
Q: Who’s your favorite player on the team?
A: Hmm… I like all my other line mates, but if I really had to pick it would be Mack. He does all the little things, and never complains.
Q: What's your mindset during a game, any pre-game rituals?
A: I just try and keep the game simple.
Q: Who’s your favorite player in professional hockey?
A: Jake Dowell
Q: What do you like most about the position you play?
A: The HITS! I love being in the back end playing physical.
Q: After playing so many months in the EASHL without making the playoffs, how sweet was last month for you?
A: Though I didn’t dress for any, it still was a pretty good experience. To me it feels like that brought the team closer together and hopefully we get back to the playoffs ASAP.
Q: What goal sticks out to you the most?
A: Well there’s not many, so this is an easy one. I would say the one goal that sticks out to me the most is the first goal I scored in my first game in the club. At the time I was a forward, and someone took a shot from the point. I crashed the net and picked up a rebound and flipped it over the goalie for the goal. My head set was off, but when I scored I jumped out of my seat and yelled.
Q: You are known around the league as a heavy hitter and tough guy, what qualities do you think you have that makes you play that way?
A: It doesn’t take much to do this part, its my game style no matter what, and I love doing it. We got lots of skilled guy on the team so I figured I would play the style I love, and take care of the dirty work, and let the skilled guys do their jobs.
Q: You played a full year in the EASHL for the Rubber Duckies, Fancy Sauce, and the now Chicago Panthers, how did that help your career, and are there any notable people from that time period that especially helped you along the way?
A: I think it has helped me grow more as a player, and adapt different styles into my style. We’ve been playing together quite a bit, so we know each other and can usually predict what the other player is going to do, so that definitely helps. The notable people are the ones who are on the team. Dewey, Serb, Mack we have been doing this over a year now together, and each one of them has helped me somehow along the way.
Q: You wear the number 47, is there any significance behind that?
A: Not really, just a favorite minor league player who wore that number.
Q: Who is the funniest player you have ever played with?
A: Oh man, they all have the nights their pretty funny. Serb is usually pretty funny, but I loved it when Quag was in the club, always gives Serb lots of crap. Plus the accent makes it even funnier.
Q: Out of all the teams you have played against, who was the hardest to keep up with?
A: The Chicago Inferno. They really took it to us in all 3 games, pretty much kept the puck in our zone most of the time.
Q: What’s an upcoming game that sticks out for you, and what are you and the team doing to prepare for that?
A: The Chicago Inferno series. That’s definitely a very important series. We are definitely working on that consistent play. We haven’t looked into the series much as of now, but we know what we need to do, the series means a lot, and we have a lot to prove to those guys.
Thank you for your time, it was appreciated very much, we wish you, and the Chicago Panthers all the best for upcoming seasons.
