The focus for the failures of the bunch of bums currently calling themselves Chicago Bears has been on usual suspects - General Manager "If I'm Lyin' I'm" Ryan Pace, Head Coach John Fox, Defensive Coordinator "Vaunted" Vic Fangio, Offensive Coordinator Duh-well Loggains . . . but what of the Bears staff that has been flying under the radar, yet remain equally responsible for this mess? They're collecting checks, but pi55ing their pants just as badly as the convenient targets. Well, they can hide no more - the shoopster breaks them down . . .

- Quarterbacks Coach Dave Ragone: Ragone gets touted by "smart" Bear fans as an up-and-comer, which makes him a prime candidate for the McCaskeys and "Sweaty" Teddy Phillips to try to Peter Principle him into the Offensive Coordinator position when the god-awful Loggains is jettisoned and the next lilly-livered Head Coach subjugates himself to the inevitable Halas Hall meddling. But forget OC - all you need to know about Ragone lies at the happy feet of "Frisky" Mitch Trubisky. Trubisky's pocket presence and mechanics are awful, and it's time Ragone did something about it before Trubisky's mere lazy habits become permanent pockmarks. Ragone is failing Trubisky every bit as much as is Loggains. Step it up, Dave . . .

- Special Teams Coach Jeff Rodgers: How much more disorganized and incompetent does it get than sending your punting team onto the field on the wrong down as Rodgers did yesterday against the Eagles? Rodgers's special teams have been uninspired and disorganized since he got here, but since Rodgers comes with the John Fox stamp of approval from previous stints with Fox in Denver and Carolina, the Bears are stuck with him. There have been so many problems on the Bears the last three years that the Special Teams have been pushed down the list, but let us not forget that that unit is putrid too, and John Fox's buddy is one big reason why . . .

- Strength & Conditioning Coach Jason George: Talk about flying under the radar - nobody really even knows who George is. Thankfully for him. He clearly has no idea how to get NFL players ready for battle in this day and age, as the Bears have been beaten to a pulp the last two years. Whatever George is doing obviously isn't working. But, of course, George is another of Fox's old friends from Denver . . .

Good calls on all 3
Hurt and unprepared is no way to win in this league
Trubiski is definitely not being groomed properly
What a clusterfuck this team is
At least bring back the honeybears

If on 1/1/18 the entire bunch are not tied to posts outside of Halas Hall, and bows, and buckets of free arrows are not provided for any ripped off fan to get payback, then you can plan on another rebuild starting on 1/1/21.

Agreed on all 3, imagine how awful special teams would be without Sherrick McManis.

I'll bet Marc Trestman loved this guy:

LAMAR CAMPBELL
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Campbell is responsible for assisting the players and their families by providing a comprehensive career development program that encourages and challenge players to take full advantage of the wide range of NFL sponsored programs. Players are provided with assistance in core areas of academic excellence, leadership development, social responsibility, health, safety and wellness to ensure a seamless career transition from on-field stardom to off-field success.

Too many of these assistants get let off the hook too easily. Why does Jeramiah Washburn get off without a line of bad press for these institutional false start and holding penalties? Why doesn't he get called out when the Bears are ranked 21st in run block effectiveness ad 23rd in pass block effectiveness?

No love for Zach Azziani?

If he took a page out of Darryl Drake's playbook and started sleeping through meetings instead of "coaching" I doubt anyone could tell the difference.

Azziani has never coached in the pros before - this is his first NFL job.

Bears always get the pick of the litter . . .

Because it’s the Head Coach’s job to hold him accountable.

Atta' post, Adipost. But it cuts both ways . . .

. . . When the Head Coach does hold his players and/or assistant coaches accountable - by, say, benching a certain lazy, stupid, or uncaring "phenom" slashback who hasn't bothered to learn the two minute offense - Bear fans shouldn't criticize him for that.

Fair enough. But subordinates deserve some degree of scrutiny for the crappy job they're doing. In other words, Fox is accountable for Washburn's incompetency, but he may not be responsible.
