Traffic here would be down.

First, many of us would be out watching the game in a crowd somewhere, drinking.

Second, fans post more and call in to sports talk shows more when the team is poor.

That second part is not true everywhere but it is definitely true with Chicago. That’s why the media always talks with a negative tone about our teams, it’s how they get us to watch and read their bs. Positivity doesn’t sell in this town in regards to sports media.

There is a certain truth to what he is saying though. The media in this town knows how to rile people. They get people good and pissed off in order to draw in listeners and viewers.

in all fairness Jay Cutler did too, but...

I liked Cutler, but Trubisky is demonstrating how to be a QB and not a boner at the same time and it's paying dividends with the team.
