You can usually tell what the defense is expecting based on the splits of the defensive lineman and the positioning of the linebackers.
Not once was Detroit fooled. Every time they expected a run, they got one and the same with the pass.
To be fair, the Bears we’re seldom fooled either.
This is going to happen with teams that play each other twice a year. The team that wins those kind of games comes down to coaching and execution.
On the coaching end of it you have to self scout and be prepared to game plan away from your tendencies.
In this kind of game it’s even more important that everyone wins their individual battles as most of time they will know what is coming.
This game turned on a 50-50 ball that the WR came down with and turnovers. The Bears also shot themselves in foot with stupid penalties.
The bottom line is the Bears don’t have the coaches to overcome a lack of talent in spots.

Trubs made some spectacular plays and some boneheaded plays. He has very little help from his receivers, and, IMO, really missed Shaheen.

When facing teams they've already faced they get completely outclassed. Inept preparation. The Vikings game should be a massacre.

Bum Phillips once said there are only two ways to get better - get better players or get the players you've got to play better. The Ryan Pace/John Fox Bears fail at both.
