Asked today at breakfast. Assume everything is in the HOF, what is the one piece of baseball memorabilia that you would want on display at your home?

For me, I said George Brett's Pine Tar bat.

Great question.

I'm not much of a collector or a memorabilia hound, so I'd have a hard time with this. I found a slide show - https://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/baseball-hall-of-fame-artifacts-1.7514654 - and going from that they have a photo of the 1939 HoF class, which is filled with some heavy hitters of the game. However, that seems boring for the topic, so I'd go with one of the original pinwheels from the old Comiskey Park.

Probably couldn't have the scoreboard, put I like the pinwheel idea.

No, check the link I posted. One of the last pictures (maybe the last) was just a pinwheel.

I wish they had a little description for each picture

They do. Bottom left corner there's an arrow that will bring up a caption. It's one or two sentences, but it gives you a bit of context.

George Brett was by far my player growing up (Harold Baines a distant second). That bat would be cool.

The ball Mazeroski hit would also be up there.

I don’t have any prized baseball possessions. I have a framed autographed Payton jersey though and also a Steve yzerman one

I read an article about a year ago that the HOF was upset because they only had 2 items from the 2016 Cubs World Series run....the ball from the 1st pitch of game 7 and the 2nd base bag from the 9th and 10th innings.

Unless something cooler is in there now, I'd take 2nd base.

Nice!
If you could have anything though, what would it be?
