DB
Fuller – 5 year contract
Prince – 2-3 year contract
Callahan – tender, then extend later on in year
Amos – extend later on

LB
Young – keeping him despite 5mil cap hit because he had a tricep injury and had 2 sacks in 4 games before that. Had 7.5 sacks in 2016, 6.5 in 2015 and 10 in 2014. Averaged 8 sacks/year 2014-2016 and pro rated 2017.
Houston – 1 year deal
Attaochu – 3 year deal

DL
Goldman – tender, then extend

OL
Fulton – 4 year deal. “6th man” c/g sub and eventual starter under HH who Nagy knows

WR
Meredith – tender
Wright - 2 year deal (KC keeps Wilson)
Inman – 1 year deal
Lee – 4 year deal. Much better route runner, healthier, consistent and cheaper then Richardson.

TE
Simms cut, they sign someone else inexpensively. (Burton stays with Philly)

Notable FA QB signings
Cousins – signs with Minn
Keenum – signs with AZ
Foles – traded to Cleveland

Notable prospect
Davenport – has solid but not great combine. 4.72 40, good but not great cones, shuttles, jumps

Draft
1 Cleveland – QB
2 NYG – Barkley
3 Indy – Chubb
4 Cleveland – Fitzpatrick
5 Denver – QB
6 NYJ – QB
7 TB – Edmunds

AND, no trade downs!!!

Who is Edwards?

I'm assuming that's Edmunds. If not, I'd take him. If so, give me Joshua Jackson if I can't trade down.

Do you really think they take a CB despite multi year commitments to 3 CB'S?

Ah, missed the extension with Callahan. I doubt they'd go long term with all 3 CBs. Even though they played well this year, it's not like they played like a secondary you set in stone for 3 years like those extensions would suggest. But that was the scenario you created, so I'd change my pick to Roquan Smith if I stayed at 8. LB is an underrated need if they cut Freeman and can't get/don't want Jones back. Kwiatkoski may just be a nickel LB. Trevathan has had injury issues and is probably gone after 2018. I'd also think a trade down would potentially be there. 3 QBs off the board, which means one of Mayfield/Allen would be there and I think someone would be willing to come get one of them.

Ridley.

I'm believing that an edge will fall to us in round 2.

I never count on trade downs and I don't see any team coming up that high and its such an easy default when there is no great selection available.

I’m taking Davenport or Key who has been left for dead way too early. Something tells me he’s going to get it back together. His interviews and workouts will be huge.

There are too many WRs that will play well in the NFL to take one at 8.

Does anything change if they sign Richardson instead of Lee?

I’d also take Nelson or Brown Jr. before Ridley.

Yup, Jackson. Prince is a very nice stop gap and you can never have enough talent in the back 7. A long term combo of Jackson/Fuller would make for a legit pairing.

I know JJ is the top cover corner in the draft but I have two questions.

1 - he really has just the 1 year of productivity (as good as it is), will that matter?
2 - We wont really know until he runs but it has been assumed/speculated that he wont run under 4.5 and I cant recall a top 10 CB drafted who doesn't run in the low 4.4's.

To me it would depend on grading. IF Nelson grades out higher than Ridley, well there you go.

To me, you take the best at #8, no screwing around.

Let's hope they can get a trade down for a team that wants a qb.
