Chiefs' LB Derrick Johnson's contract voided after this season, and he now will become an unrestricted free agent. The 35-year-old Johnson, who made two game-changing plays in wild-card game vs. Titans that were nullified due to penalty, wants to play more seasons.

Demarcus Lawrence is coming off his best year and is only 25 years old. Teams are going to back up the Brinks truck in free agency.

If Lawrence leaves Dallas, then I'd hope Pace meets him at the airport with a literal wheelbarrow full of money.

Johnson would be fine for a short term contract to keep us from having another need to fill in draft day.

Somebody is gonna pay up, guys. We will get a FA or two. Possibly overpaid. But that's the nature of the business. You can't just sit back and hope the guy will take market value. If there's an FA who can help, then you do what you can do to get him - even if it's overpaying. This is why most of the contracts these days are front loaded - just so that if they don't pan out, we can cut them with little to no cost. Landry? I'd get him. Lawrence? Absolutely. Front load their contracts, and if they don't live up to it, then bye bye in a couple years. People will either bitch about us not getting anybody, about us sitting back and doing nothing, and about us over paying. There's no gray area.

I think a ton of you who want Landry never really seen him play and look at stats. Landry at best is a #2 wideout.

I would say the opposite. Those who don't want him are only looking at stats. At least that's what I get from ccs posters. "He doesn't get many yards per reception! He isn't worth it!"...etc, etc, etc

And it isn't about having a "#1 WR". It is about having a consistent, reliable target for Trubs.

Lawrence is getting tagged or signed. No way he hits the market.

You could write a novel on Landry's play from the posts made on here in the past month including videos, everyone is well informed. I'll take a #2 like that allll day

That's fine. We don't have a #2. Could definitely use a guy like him here.

Report: "Belief" is Broncos will keep Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-will-keep-emmanuel-sanders-demaryius-thomas/

"After Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post tweeted that it wouldn’t make much sense to get rid of good receivers if you’re planning to bring in a veteran quarterback, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that the “belief” is that both players are safe with that quarterback pursuit in mind."

NFL Update - #Seahawks will likely entertain trade offers for CB Richard Sherman this offseason just like they did last offseason, per CBS Sports.
