We need better players, not more players. It's a statistical fact that the higher you draft the better player you likely get.

Yet, the idiots on this forum like to throw shit against the wall to see what sticks

This is why Bears fans are considered some of the least knowledgeable in the NFL

Actually we need more players who are better....where does that fit in that equation?

Dont'a Hightower, Chandler Jones, Whitney Mercilus all taken in the late end of round one.

Bears had to pick Shea McClellin though.

So they should always trade up then. If a trade down is always wrong then a trade up is always right. Package the whole draft to move up as far as possible and draft one player. Every. Single. Draft.

Everybody and their mama thought it would be Mercilus, the needed athletic pass rusher (also played at illinois). But no, the Bears got to cute and drafted an undersized white guy who doesn't fit at any position.

Always depends on the offer. I wouldn't go seeking a trade but if the Bears get a sizeable offer, you can't turn it down.

I really thought they were taking Jones when they were on the clock.

cause its trading out?.. not down nor up.. draft pick divisiunz.

giphy.gif

You do know that there is a team with 2 first round picks this years so it would be a trade down if the Bears traded with them.

I read every post that I can from my mentor and I don't recall seeing him post that. More fake news meant to damage Omelets character in the minds of the sheep here.

Two things:
1. You need to pick a better mentor ... like anyone else.
2. Ommy did say that this year would be a good year to trade down.
