Bears sign WR Quincy Enunwa to 2 years 8 million/4 guaranteed

857 yards in 2016 with 4 TD he is my sleeper pick and I think he will be a steal in free agency if he is healthy.



Bears sign OG Justin Pugh to 4 years 25 million/7 guaranteed

Giants had him play out of position last year at right tackle out of desperation and did mediocre but he is a pretty good guard. Giants seem to have eyes on Andrew Norwell so he could be on his way out.



Draft

1[8] LB Tremaine Edmunds [Virginia Tech] 6'5 250lbs

He is just to good of a prospect to pass up on if Bears think he can be an elite edge rusher opposite of Floyd he could give Bears a top five defense.

Edmunds combines elite size, speed and explosiveness into a productive, versatile linebacker package that will have evaluators salivating. Edmunds has posted high-impact production over the last two seasons and he still has room to get bigger and better. Edmunds will make mental mistakes and his instincts are subpar, but he has an ability to mitigate those issues with his athletic ability. Edmunds can play in any alignment at any linebacker spot and has All-Pro potential no matter where he lands.

2[39] OT Martinas Rankin [Mississippi] 6'5 305lbs

It'll be a waste not to keep Harry Hiestand busy while young prospects with the Bears while we have him.

As a left tackle, Rankin will struggle with edge speed and as a right tackle he may have issues as a run blocker handling the power he will face. While he offers tackle flexibility and may get an early look at right tackle, his best position might be at center where his instincts and intelligence will stand out. The further Rankin kicks inside the better he will be. He may be average as a tackle or guard, but he could become a good NFL starter if he gets his shot at center.

4. WR Equanimeous St. Brown [Notre Dame] 6'5 204lbs

Does he love football or is it just want his parents want from him? Does he really want to dance and sing with Gabriella Montez?

St. Brown's combination of size and speed will be coveted by offenses looking for a prospect who can create throwing windows down the field with his ability to separate as the route progresses. St. Brown's competitive nature needs to improve as does his play strength to elude early pressure from physical cornerbacks. He has never been a volume target and has just three 100-yard games in his career. At this stage, St. Brown is more of a threat than a weapon and his ceiling may be an average starter or WR3.

4. S Terrell Edmunds [Virginia Tech] 6'2 220lbs

Bring in the brothers. Trey the oldest already plays for the Saints as a rb.

While younger brother Trumaine may get the headlines in this year's draft, Terrell is a quality prospect in his own right. Edmunds has size and burst which are coveted traits at the position. He has man cover talent against big targets and should step right into a role on the coverage units for special teams. Edmunds is at his best near the line of scrimmage and has eventual starter potential, but inconsistencies as an open field tackler may be a cause for concern in some NFL war rooms.

5. ILB Kenny Young [UCLA] 6'1 226lbs

Bears depth was really tested at LB last year from all the injuries.

Young is a lean, run-around WILL linebacker who has the speed to pursue plays all over the field, but may lack the consistency and play demeanor needed to find many NFL reps. He will run well at the combine and should offer special teams help if given the chance. Young's speed and athletic ability could land him on a roster, but he may be looking over his shoulder every offseason.

6. OT Greg Senat [Wagner] 6'8 291lbs

Project but could work out well for the Bears.

Senat lacks bulk but looks the part in the uniform if he could add functional mass. Unfortunately, he looks better than he plays at this point and needs a great deal of technique work as both a run blocker and pass protector. Senat is a project who might be able to find a spot on a practice squad while he works on getting bigger and better.

7. OG Sam Jones [Arizona] 6'5 290lbs

Lean, athletic guard who has the quickness to make reach blocks and backside cut-offs on the second level, but is unable to consistently handle the man in front of him. Jones will have to play in a zone-scheme rushing attack to try and mitigate his strength deficiencies, but his issues carrying weight on his frame could haunt him on the next level.

I like it....Also like drafting Edmunds brother Terrell. He's a hybrid Safety/LB type. Good guy to have when running a nickle defense.

Not worth what trouble? They can offer him a dick sandwich and he has no choice but to sign for it or sit out another year. So, I'm not sure what their issue would be: the guy who has only played 10 games over the last four seasons sits out (it's not like they've lost anything); or he plays for a pittance (big win)... Where is the downside for the Browns?

I'm hoping on stupidity on the Browns part hopefully there is some bad blood that causes them to cut him because I think the Bears will probably end up with Cameron Meredith, Rookie (R2 or R4), Inman, Wright, White next year.

Depth if Eddie Jackson or Adrian Amos get hurt Bears are in trouble. Chris Prosinski did okay last year but Bears can do better.

It'll depend how he grades at the combine but he is probably a 3rd round pick with the possibility of early 4th.

why would you not save a shit load of money and just put a round 2 tender on Meredith?

No one is that dumb. Even if they are done with the kid, they could just sign him to said dick sandwich contract and trade him. There is absolutely nothing to gain by not offering a minimum contract. Hell, he won't even count against their cap if they structure the offer properly. So...no cap hit; no loss other than a roster spot; trade bait? Yeah...

I am just gonna say that enunwa's stats for 2017 are completely wrong....
