Jake looks to have blown his Achilles tendon yesterday during the game. That's at least a year of development missed. Hopefully no over-reaction to it and sign Moustakas

He looked totally out of shape to me, like he put on about 40 pounds of bad weight since last year. Not sure if that has anything to do with the injury. Don't think he was going to play in the majors this year anyway, so I hope Hahn doesn't feel the need to compensate.

Definitely was two years away from even being considered to be called up.

Still, like OP said, that's an entire year of development gone. Sucks.

Seems like a rare baseball injury. Any history of how players have come back from it? Missing development sucks just wondering does this injury kill expectations in baseball?

It's not his main leg (right) for power so that is a positive. I read where someone did some lookups on this and it seems everyone recovers differently. Best hope is Fall League

I don't know if he'll stick at 3B once he comes back. I see 1B in his future.

For now the earliest we'd see him is 2020 and probably 2021.
