He also known as one of the dirtiest players in the league, which is part of the reason he hasn’t played a full season for so long. A vicious his he had on Chiefs’ fullback Anthony Sherman in last year’s preseason got him suspended for five games.

It was character issues that had Burfict go undrafted in 2012 out of Arizona State. Otherwise he is a very talented player.

Cincinnati Bengals' LB Vontaze Burfict is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's Performance-Enhancing Drug policy, pending appeal, per league sources.

Burfict's appeal will center around the fact that he was on prescribed medication for the concussion he suffered on a hit from Steelers' wide receiver Ju-Ju Smith Schuster on Dec. 4 as well as the fact that he suffered a Grade 3 shoulder AC sprain during the Detroit Lions game on Dec. 24 and was on prescribed medications for this injury as well, per another source.

The disputed test occurred Dec. 27, when Burfict already had been ruled out for the season, and he is expected to argue that he would not be using any drug to gain an advantage when he wasn't even playing.

No appeal date has been set yet, but Burfict soon will be fighting to keep alive the first four games of his season. He already has been suspended six games for previous on-field transgressions.

Now that I think about it, Suh is not the answer and neither is Burflict. We need to keep this team clean as possible after the mess we dealt with McDonald.

it wasn't a mess we signed a guy and we cut him.....it really didn't cost the Bears anything......how was it a mess.

and what did it cost us?

Did the franchise get damaged in the long run or even the short run for that matter.....were Pace or Fangio fired for it?

Or in reality did we sign a guy and then get rid of him before he played a down and it really didn't cost us anything?

What are the repercussions from this dreaded mess you speak of?
