CSN said today that Gorzelanny will make one more start before moving to the pen.

What do you think of it?

I was hoping for a 6-man, but hopefully adding the lefty Gorzelanny to the pen will make them get rid of Grabow! But they better not get rid of Russell.

Gorzelanny has done great, but who else would they put in the pen? If they send Russell down it would be a terrible move.

Maybe this means they'll be able to get rid of Grabow though, :)

I still think Zambrano should stay in the pen and our rotation should stay the same. But I understand this move.

If Grabow is released or sent down, I will like Gorz in the pen even more than in the rotation, lol.

I hope your wrong. How I see it, it's better to pay him to stay away than to blow games. :)

It wouldn't be fiscally responsible to release him with that contract but I think he will be shopped around if he isn't already. I'd like to see Gorz stay in the rotation because he has done very well there but has no run support when he pitches. Zambrano we all knew was going back to the rotation though. Nobody else out of the rotation but Gorz can go to the pen. Silva is pitching to good, Lilly will come around as will Demp and after last night Wells isn't even an option. Gorz is the odd man out sadly. But as you said it gives them the opportunity to get rid of Grabow.

A 6 man would have been interesting. Thank God they chose Gorzelanny rather than Silva.

Silva could've gotten rid of Howry, but I think Grabow's worse and I hope he's kicked out.

Gorzo has done well for us this season and has been unlucky with being hit with a couple of liners. As you guys have said, having three lefties in the 'pen would be a bit silly. I can't see them getting rid of Grabow because of his contract and if they traded him they'd have to eat most of it.

So they either send Russell (who has done a great job) down or they shop Gorzo around for a right handed reliever. I guess the latter would make more sense and he has pretty decent trade value.

I don't think there will be a trade because Hendry says so. No trades available but to me that is BS. Ever starter is pitching good, this had to be a hard chaice but probably the right onw. Now Grabow will get less appearances, yes!

I liked Gorz even with the Pirates so I would rather have them try and trade Grabow even if they do have to eat a portion of his contract. I don't think they would have to pick up that much though.
