In all seriousness: April is April. It is very rare that a team goes 6 months strait as the top team in baseball. I got co-workers saying that the Red Sox are a better team then the Yankee’s this year. The Mets look like the best team in baseball? Pirates strip their team and look like a contender?

Yea i get that and all but damn it sure would be nice to see a little light with these guys..
This is the 3rd time through the rotation and and i think Hendricks the only one whose had more then 1 decent start...
And as good as the bullpen looked early, if these starters dont start going at least into the 7th, their going to get tired and start slipping soon..
The offense looks stale and i know you all dont agree with me on this from when i brought it up before but inconsistent lineup and noone setting the table at the top gives you exactly what were seeing .. bunch of 2 runs or less games
I disagree that nothing matters now..
These games their losing now against teams they should be beating are games their going to need to makeup at some point later in year against better teams, more stressful games in August and September..
They only play 1 home and home series against the Marlins and Braves, so they wont get to make it up later against them..
This was the easy part of April Schedule, where they were supposed to get off to a fast start.
Rest of April Schedule gets a whole lot tougher now..
Cardinals Rockies Indians Brewers and then Rockies again
So, unless they all of a sudden wake up and start playing the way their capable of , this could very well get ugly fast record wise..
The illusion just may be what we all thought we were going to see from this team.. an easy 90+ wins and another WS run

I really wish Maddon would just run with Almora in CF already. Guy is hitting .286/.355/.536 and we know he can play defense.

Heyward and Zobrist platoon in RF..
Happ can get his starts in LF against tough LHers and CF against tough RHers..

I really hope this off season if not sooner, they just eat the money and either trade Heyward for anything they can get or just release him..
They have to pay him either way, i just dont want to see him with a bat in his hand amymore as a chicago cub

Happ a SH, so the tougher LHers that could give Schwarber trouble start Happ.. same with Almora and facing the tougher RHers..
Just because their tough against same handed hitters, doesnt make them the "best of the best"..
