I think Darnold will play. They're not going to settle for another late 1st/early 2nd round QB again, if they want Darnold (or Rosen) they'll take him and play him.

I think you'll see the same situation as we had last year. I think the rookie comes in around game 6 or so. If I were Cle, I'd be playing him all year but that would make the trade for Tyrod look foolish unless they are counting on Tyrod to help mentor the rookie.

im more scared by all the people in murica on the top ten RB wagon. same kinds of ppl claiming you don't take a rb in the top ten. If they aint see it in gurley but the see it in barklee.. idk what to say..

ive seen some vids, but not enough to give a fair assessment.. id say he needs to be more physical for his size.. while he showed some power, he also got by a lot with dat straight line speed, that top end burst and agility... against da college playa

at the same, even though i gave a hof ceiling comparison (compared to a young fast curtis martin) to zeke.... i thought zeke could have been more physical at times @ OSU (for his size/speed combo). i didn't know how his power would translate...but his power translated fine at the NFL level.

barkley gonna need to bring more power, more often imo.. his agility and burst is great.. but these nfl lbers who b running like a safety and duh safeties who be hitting like lbers gonna expect some contactz..

if barkley gonna be that bell cow w 20-30 touches a game.. he gunna need to bring da power a lot more in todays nfl.

nah, he is the ultimate progression of RB.

His ball skills and receiving will allow himi to play more like Kamara. 20 carries and 5-10 receptions is more than enough. He is a Forte with elite athletic gifts. He can catch more than your traditional "good receiving" back...much like Forte, Cohen, or LT he can make big play catches.

RB's are hard to gauge for sure. I wouldn't pass on him at #8, but I don't want that to happen either. I would much rather take a safer pick home that helps the lines.

Well Taylor is good enough to take an improved squad and extend that day several weeks. He is auditioning for other teams after all, and fighting for his job and has been given nice Wr's/TE etc.

He also enters a situation that showed they are completely inept at developing a QB and might even be good at ruining them.

Lol comparing him to college barry sanders! I bet if you take sanders 1 college season its close to barkleys 3 Year total. Not impressed

I like that you're willing to bet on something that you could easily look up. for whatever it's worth:

Rushing Receiving Scrimmage
Year School Conf Class Pos G Att Yds Avg TD Rec Yds Avg TD Plays Yds Avg TD
*2015 Penn State Big Ten FR RB 11 182 1076 5.9 7 20 161 8.1 1 202 1237 6.1 8

1988 Oklahoma State Big 8 RB 11 344 2628 7.6 37 19 106 5.6 0 363 2734 7.5 37
Career Oklahoma State 523 3556 6.8 48 23 164 7.1 1 546 3720 6.8 49

For the record, I don't think anyone is saying he's Barry Sanders, just that some of his traits are reminiscent of Sanders'.

I agree with that. I think Tyrod is not a bad QB and is a very good gap QB for them. But, I do think Cle will be smart enough to get their rookie playing time.
