You think everyone laughs at you in rehab when they find out you're there for weed?
one belllamy is already too many.
So, somebody is still actually paying RG II money to be on an NFL team? Wow.
Landry has been mocked to Tennessee most.
Packers absolutely won the 1st round. They basically stole a 1st round pick from the Saints.
Oh, Jesus! Lamar Jackson was considered a first rounder by many, gets drafted in the first, and the Ozzie newsome "ahead of the curve" drafting a mobile QB talk begins.
Puh-lease!
And there's Deion with the douchery. A guy just got drafted in the first fucking round, and Deion ruins his moment by pissing on it. Why did you go so low? Dumbass!!
Lamar, being able to escape the rush will be a plus.
But, dude, you better change your game, because running in the NFL isn't going to work.
Newton got banged up in his own right as a runner, but he has stepped up and manned it out.Why does every running QB get compared to RGIII? Wilson, Taylor, and Newton have never had the major injuries RGIII had. The issue is really got fuck all to do with running and everything to do with running smart. RGIII took hits that Wilson and Taylor rarely take. It remains to be seen how Jackson turns out but there are far more mobile QBs that stayed healthy recently than the same tired example of RGIII. Not to mention if you go back further, a lot of mobile QBs like McNabb, Cunningham, etc. also had long careers. And no Watson is not in the RGIII camp as he never got injured on the field. He got injured in practice.
I would really like a study regarding injuries of mobile QBs vs injuries of pocket passers because I wonder if people just exaggerate the injury risk based on a high profile single example like RGIII while ignoring all the pocket passers that due to their immobile nature get injured from taking big hits while staying in the pocket. I honestly can't think of another mobile QB that had the injury history of RGIII. The dude seems like a really isolated incident to me and not indicative of most mobile QBs but maybe there is a study out there that proves me wrong.

R. Wilson plays really smart. Haven't watched enough of Taylor to really know.
But I agree, RGIII had a mixture of bad luck and not getting to the ground correctly as a runner. Comparisons to RGIII are nothing short of surface level "he's a mobile QB", and that's it.
There really isn't any concrete evidence to support the claim that "running" QBs get injured more.
Traditionally, pocket passer ceilings have been higher than mobile quarterbacks. I think the lines are getting a little blurry now. Pocket passing combined with controlled mobility seems to be the next phase and it has shown a lot of promise.
