No, although as good as the rest of Chatwood’s numbers are if he didn’t have a horrific 7.65 BB/9 he’d be a lot better than most #5s.

Looking at his line: 5 IP. 3 hits. 5 BB 6 SO. Reminds me of Arrieta when he had the walk bug.

Only thing is , probably shouldn't expect many games pass 5 innings from him

I mean his career walk rate isn't 7.5 per 9. It's roughly half that. There's certainly room for improvement that's not a pipe dream. I'm wondering if he's just more used to having to throw his stuff in colorado and doesn't have a feel for it away from there yet because his stuff is fairly filthy for a back of the rotation start. You're talking 9.08 k/9.

Yea..
I think he'll eventually get better..
I doubt he'll keep that high average all year..

He limiting the runs now with the walks because he not giving up a bunch of hits..
In Colorado it was much harder to do that.

Yes.. if he can knock those walks in half and continue to limit the hits/HRs, he can be a very effective starter

They are like .590 vs teams with a win% over .550. Think if i remember the figure right the were 5-3 vs teams under 44%(excluding today), 1-1 vs teams 45%-54% and they were 14-10 vs teams 55%+
