Hard to move with that fat contract. Now if he puts up a great show for the first 1/3 of the season and Chargers' options haven't panned out, who knows?

What's Simms' contract beyond this year? He'd prob. agree to a new, longer contract if moved.

Cutting or trading Sims this year is a 4,666,667 cap hit as opposed to cutting him next year will be a 333,334 hit. The only reason he's still in a Bears uniform.

If it was the cap hit they were worried about, they shouldn't have let his guarantee kick in back in March and cut him before then. He's here because they want him here, as odd as that sounds to the rest of us.
