I’m more concerned on his IP right now. If Joe yanks him early the trust is shot

I’m looking at it as 1 guy hitting over .250 on their line up. If they ring up Kyle it over.

Yanked after 5 with just 78 pitches...

How we supposed to count on him if Maddon cant

Why i said wouldn't surprise me if they trade him in offseason

Well, he was a 5 that pitched like a 2, now he is a 2 that pitches like a 5. It all evens out in the end.

Maddie has always pulled Hendricks early. He is not as effective third time through and he isn’t at his best right now. Still, those runs were more soft contact which is what you want to see out of him

I’m not sure what you mean? It was soft contact thing

He is not performing at the level that he excels at.

Your argument: Soft contact.

I see 12.6 H/9. 1.8 BB/9. 3.6 SO/9 today that ended up with a 5.40 ERA. Lite or not they were putting the ball in play most of the time as only 2 of his 15 outs were by punch out. and I'm getting a .350 BABIP. Lite or not that is just flowering up what he did.

Then you look at what that powerpuff line up squeaked out collectively vs the pen? 1 hit in the 9th...

I really hope Kyle trends the right way but all things considered; lite is a lite excuse

You dont think that a problem for a guy who supposed to be their 2/3 this year?
He basically pitching like a 4

Lets say Darvish returns after the break and he pitching to his potential..

So now you got
Darvish giving them 6/7..
Lester giving them 6/7..
Which is all good

Then they got
Quintana going 5
Hendricks going 5
Because Maddon dont want them going 3 times through the order..

Then whoever the 5th starter is..
Chatwood going 4/5
Montgomery going 5

The bottom 3 of rotation is going to wipe out the bullpen every week ......
They really need Q and Hendricks to step it up in 2nd half

i just feel in offseason they could move Hendricks who will be 29 and have 3 yrs of control left..

Theyll have Darvish who 1/2
Lester at 35 is 2/3
Im sure theyll pick up Quintana option and he looks to be more of a 3/4 now.
Then you got the 5th starter..

I think if not this deadline then in offseason, theyll look to bring in a 1/2 type starter to go with Darvish and itll put Lester as the 3

I think we could see some movements with the roster this offseason..

Listening to Joe's post game he was high on Fulmer honestly. Said that they had to change their approach at the plate with him because you go in aiming for the HR he will beat you.

Honestly Fulmer is a guy that would be worth giving up talent for. He throws hard and that is missing in the rotation right now.

Whoever they get Fulmer DeGrom etc..i dont care..

I just think they need and will get another 1/2 type starter because right now Quintana and Hendricks not that guy and looking more like 3/4 types now...

Lester pitching his ass off now but you have to think he gonna regress some next year..

I still have faith in Darvish coming back and pitching better..

To be fair here:
Lester 5.88 IP/start
Montgomery: 5.80
Hendricks: 5.71
Q: 5.35
Chatwood: 4.88
Darvish 5.00

More of a Joe thing here.
