Thread will be solely a veto of a Pace pick. It can consist of the player or the round that player was drafted.

I’ll start...

Adam Shaheen. Pick 45 from about 1,100 eligible players. He has a skill set and a purpose but a 2nd rd pick should have an immediate impact. He’s a in-line TE that never would justify a 2nd rd pick. He was drafted to high for his purpose.

Shaheen has shown promise and this is the pick we should veto. How about Kevin White? Why not veto that pick?

I thought about White but I also think about 20 other GMs woulda taken him at that spot.

At the time White was a consensus top 10. Shaheen was a small school project with a projection of a late 3rd pick.

What is the punishment for ripping the OP face and dick off and feeding them to Ommy and his diclicker Warden? What a fucking stupid thread.

I'd like to veto the nardflo pick and stay in the same spot and take the nardflo pick.

I could say the same thing about Mitchell, but I'll leave that for Remy.

It's going to be a very telling year for Pace. He'll have four 1st round picks on the field this year.

Can one of them be the best at their position in the NFC North?

White, Noquan, Trubisky or Leonard Floyd?

That puts some perspective on the drafting.

Why does it matter where the players were drafted? Seahawks won a superbowl (and almost a 2nd) with a bunch of guys playing at pro bowl level that were not drafted in the first round. Russell Wilson in the 3rd, Kam Chancellor in the 5th, Richard Sherman in the 5th, Cliff avril Round 3, Michael bennett UDFA, Bobby Wagner round 2, KJ Wright Round 4.

Aside from Earl Thomas thats a bunch of late round players. Who cares what round the players were drafted, all that matters is that the guys on the team go play well and they win games. If the Bears win games and Kevin White still sucks who really gives a shit.

So you're saying on some level this Bears team is comparable to Seattle's SB team?

Exactly how so?

I think his argument is that you don't necessarily need surefire first round talent to get to/win a Super Bowl. (anyone can correct me) what that Seahawks GM did putting that team together was like some once in a lifetime scenario, if I'm not mistaken they had 6th/7th round starters on that team too. I don't think the Bears or any other team is going to replicate that. when you get someone in the 1st/2nd, yeah, they should have an immediate impact. there shouldn't be any "coaching up" or "time" needed to make that level talent work. unless we're talking Shea Mac -- he simply shouldn't have been drafted that high.

I thought Shaheen made some good plays in uber vanilla mode. it's Kevin White I'm more concerned about, it sucks things happened the way they did, but I don't think he's ever going to materialize into anything.

It's been reported that the Giants thought he was going to make it to them. They paniced when the Bears jumped them and ended up taking Eli Apple... We see how that worked out for them.

and Shaheen was going within a 1/2 dozen picks of where selected as well. The needs to meaningfully contribute right away stuff is silly. Shaheen is a 1st round talent taken in 2 for the reason that he needed seasoning. It's all relative. I guess you wouldn't vetoed guys like Thomas Jones and Aaron Rodgers.

White but we'll never know if the decision was commensurate with the result.

How it to 18 posts to hear the name Grasu is baffling.
The only acceptable answers are Grasu and Langford.

White could be added if you want to included premonition of injury.
