First time poster, long time Cubs fan. Just wanted to say, hey. And how much of a stud ballplayer Rizzo has been all year. This guy was once hitting well below the Mendoza line and has slowly crept to near .290. An mvp of a different sort, IMO.
All good players who have a track record for a few years will find a way by the end of the season to their numbers. Look at Carpenter. He had a slow start and made it up and more within a month. Cubs really did need Rizzo to come out of his funk.

That was a fucking strike!

That pitch was better than about a dozen called strikes today.

The umpire was complete trash today. And then to toss Joe shows a lack of character. Total piece of shit.

If the Cubs lose this game, it's on the umpire.

Nah, Edwards put himself in that position. He was erratic that entire inning. The ump didn't help, but even his missed call didn't bring a run in.

Some questionable calls, but at the end of the day that's on Edwards. He was awful. The inning was a good example of why he is not a closer.

Good for you, Carl. It's time to go electronic and get these sacks of shit out from behind the plate.

No. It isn't. Braun was struck out for out number 3.

Cards led 3-1 in the 9th, and just lost in 10.

0 for September.

It's like a broken record....these assholes cost games, important ones. With today's tech, no reason whatsoever to have these incompetent bastards behind the plate looking like fools.

He threw strike 3. The ump just froze. Knew he looked like a jack ass and is tossing everyone. lol

Braun bent backwards on strike 3 - which was over the plate and actually caught BELOW the belt, and the up called it high. Bad enough, but everything has been a strike all day prior to that. This guy called it a strike as long as the catcher could get a glove on it.

His missed call absolutely led to a run. Had he called it correctly, the inning is over. No excuse!
