Cain with the RBI after Granderson tripled. Cain hitting .328 against the CUBS now, I think.

So Counsell removes his SP after 4 innings with a 2-0 lead. Baseball will need to do something about pitchers like this not qualifying for the win. He didnt give up a run and pitched more innings than any other pitcher will. It makes no sense Anderson would not be in line for a W, provided the good guys don't come back to tie it or, better yet, win it.

Bryant is hitting the ball hard though. Good sign.

I’m glad my catcher routinely bunts for a hit..only to be out 10 feet.

Try hitting a ball hard.

Offense nonexistent.

Almora, Russell, Contreras, Happ all unbelievably poor last 35 games. Bryant missed most and is a shell right now.

Does anyone actually believe we will hold off the Brewers and win the division?

I would really like to see Javy back up in the order. Wondering if the murphy experiment might have run its course. Since KB is getting on base and not hitting for power, maybe its his turn.

They're in the torture chamber and by the time they catch a second wind it may be too late...playoffs could be another story

The Cubs obviously. Do you actually believe they will hold off the Brewers? Yes or No?

Yes. I think the Cubs are the better team and the cream rises to the top. The fact that the two teams cold stretches and hot stretches aren't on the same schedule doesn't alter my view that we'll likely, and likely isn't definitely, win the Division by 2-4 games. As of this morning Fangraphs has the Cubs odds of winning the divisions at 71.4%, the Brewers at 26.2% and the Cardinals at 2.4%. The Cubs chances to make the postseason are at 99.7%, the Brewers at 98.2 and the Cardinals 65.7%. So when you ask if I "actually believe they will hold off the Brewers" what other answer can I give you than yes because that is the probability. Anything else is going by emotion and I don't come to conclusion or answer questions that way.
