I've seen a couple references to the good ole days of the Orton/Grossman wars. Which side were you on and why?

I was probably 60/40 in favor of Sexy Rexy. Those long ball TD's to Bernard Berrian were amazing. Dude had a killer deep ball 60% of the time. Loved Orton's game manager ability but also was a little bit conservative for my liking. Both were pop culture icons....Sexy Rexy/Fuck it throw Deep vs Captain Neckbeard pounding Jack Daniels constantly......the Purdue Piston.

Were you team Shane Matthews or team Cade McNown?

I think we need a poll!

I posted a link to an Orton pic from austins a few years back... pic still exists on the web somewhere.

Saw him at a Bret Michaels show there, and he was about as regular guy as you could get.
Standing there dressed like his mom chose his clothes in a button down shirt, khakis, and a powder blue wool sweater over the top of it, Drinking a Lite beer, Hitting on middle aged women, with zero percent of the crowd recognizing him.

Chatted with him for a few and found out he has a thing for natural low hangers.

The back up QB because how can it be worse. Bears should start Chase Daniel.

Why is there not a "Neither, they both sucked" option?

I live very close to his hometown and he moved back here. One of my neighbors went to HS with him. His kids to go a school in the same diocese my wife teaches in. Can confirm, he's very normal.

His play on the field was as well. #rexforlife

I was more on board with Rex, Orton's version of the Shane Matthews offense of 4-7 yds a throw with no real deep threat made it hard to stay interested.

Grossman even knowing I would have to take the bad with the good.

No disrespect to Orton, loved him as a capable backup.

But he had huge stretches of non production that was just painful.

Freezing cold game where Atlanta came in to Soldier Field. I think Orton had 12 yards passing at the half (something like that) and Rex came out in the second half.

His first completion woke the crowd up and was probably the most basic routine completion ever cheered that loudly there.

Grossman. Orton was nothing but a game manager.
