The Minnesota Vikings are coming off an embarrassing 27-6 loss at home to the Buffalo Bills and it seems like there’s a bigger concern that the team needs to deal with.

According to KSTP-TV, Vikings star defensive end Everson Griffen was involved in an altercation at a hotel in Minneapolis, MN.

Per the report:

According to police records, a person at Hotel Ivy was verbally threatening to shoot someone in the middle of the day on Saturday.

The Minneapolis Police Department redacted that person’s name from the report, but a source confirmed that it was indeed Griffen named in the report.

Sounds like the Vikings might already be done for the year.

Reports are that Griffen tried to break into teammates house after the incident at Hotel Ivy

Sounds like he was dismissed from the team and is undergoing mental health evaluation

now this isn't a useless thread---WTF is wrong with him? CTE?
Wonde if this incident was a distraction for their game Sunday--dont know how they laid that egg vs Buffalo

Not sure if it's CTE or some other mental health issue. The reports remind me of the Spellman situation back in the day.

hope he gets help, could definitely see this being a giant distraction for the team.

Mental health is a real issue. This is really sad to see especially from a player of his caliber. Hope all is well and he can eventually return to football

Yep...and he's their defensive leader...so this hurts them. Just hope he turns out okay.

I don't think they'll release him...but I'm willing to bet if he's been dealing with this for a while...they'll probably shut him down for the year.

Zimmer is pretty transparent to the media. The fact that they're pretty tight lipped on this makes me think that it is a pretty serious issue.
