Which side of the Cutler vs McCown debate were you on in 2013?
I was in favor of extending McCown for a reasonable amount for 3-ish years. Then drafting the heir apparent and letting them sit for a year or 2.
the winning side
I haven't been "on the side" of a Bears QB ever in my life. They all suck, and I admit it when it's happening. The worst was when people vehemently argued Grossman/Orton. Are you fucking kidding me? They both sucked. I quit posting on that particular board it got so bad.

So we go without a QB?
Sometimes you have to accept the choices you have in front of you.
I think with modestly talented QBs it can often be about fits, and I thought McCown ran Trestman's offense very efficiently. It just seemed to fit him. I doubt he'd have repeated the near league best numbers of 2013, but I thought it logical to keep him not just as a competent starter for a year or two, but a more willing and stable mentor for the QB I've wanted to draft since the end of the 2010 season.McCown in 2013 13 TD's 1 Int. 66.5% everybody loved the guy, rightfully so.
McCown 2014 in Tampa 11TD's 13 Int. 56.3%
Cutler in 2014 28 TD's 18 Int. 66%
I wanted Cutler, I was very late off the Jay bandwagon, not the last, there is still at least one guy hanging on, but I was embarrassingly late.

The winning side wore green and yellow.
I'm intrigued, who? Please don't tell me you were all in on Watson way back in 2010.
Sorry, confusing wording on my part. I mean to say I wanted them to draft their own QB since the end of 2010, when I lost belief that Cutler was the answer. I wasn't referring to a specific QB. I thought McCown would have been a good guy for that QB to sit behind if they weren't immediately ready to start.I'm intrigued, who? Please don't tell me you were all in on Watson way back in 2010.
