We tend to think when the Cubs get down, they don't come back often.

ESPN just showed the Cubs have the most comeback wins in MLB this year.

(All those first inning runs allowed in the first two months.)

This ump just rang up Heyward on a 3-1 pitch.

He's a little too excited for Milwaukee.

My god how many times have the cubs hitters hit balls to the warning track this week?

I have no use for umps who get excitable.

Strike three or no strike three, when you are excited to make a call, I doubt your objectivity.

I think the zone has been fair for both teams so far.

At this point, with a man on no outs just have Contreras bunt

No - right handed batters coming up. BA against Q third time through is well over 300.

He looked like he was getting in a good rhythm, control looked very sharp, pitch count was low 70s.

I want to have faith in Baez here.... but I sorta wish this was Rizzo. Just hope Baez has a smart at bat and isn't chasing the home run.

Agreed. When Joe first came out, I was wishing he kept him. But pulling him was the smart move.

Agreed. He has had lots of ABs where he gets a big hit, and doesn't swing for the HR. But it feels like we should still expect that.

I won't complain a bit if he gets a HR, but we really need him to just drive a ball to the OF. (Preferably down the line or in the gap, as Murphy isn't speedy.)

Wish he hadn't went after that 3-1 pitch but wasn't a bad at bat by javy. Hopefully rizzo gets something going next inning.
