When will the NFL allow Jersey numbers up to 999?

The longer the earth lives on, the longer the NFL will. Let’s be honest the bears retired some stupid ass shit back on the day such as Clyde "Bulldog" Turner and Bill Hewitt who played for a whopping 4 years

Bears no longer can afford to give a player like Urlacher his due diligence. That bad for the sport, bad for the players, bad for the fans, and bad for the seamers.

I propose players to have jerseys up to 999 with the only outlawed number 666 and 69

I propose getting rid of the numbers all together.
Instead, players will have QR codes printed on their jerseys.
Then, when you want to know about a player, you hold your phone up to the screen and scan it. Instant access to all the players info; name, stats, age, birthplace, twitch account.
Boom! Problem solved and benefits gained.

Pete has become a bit less subtle. I blame all the bandwagoners.

It seems like a simple solution. Add a ring of honor and put the numbers that have been retired for over 30 years (or whatever can be agreed upon) back into the rotation. "Un-retire" each number when it reaches the 30, 40, 50 year mark (whatever is deemed suitable) and they would free up a lot numbers to be used while still honoring the players who wore the numbers before and allowing them to honor the number of more recent greats such as Urlacher.

Retire no jersey number and unretire those that have been. Simple solution.

Never. If you think kneeling is a problem wait until #999 falls down and the camera gets that number upside down. Sweet Jebus, Ima havin palpitations.
