You can't stop the inevitable.

The Bears won't be able to afford 5 million at the RT spot next season due to their cap constraints. They are gonna have to get creative. Nothing wrong with kicking the tires on a guy like Flowers who yes has been bad up to this point but is still young and might just need the right situation to turn it around (like getting out from underneath the mess that is the NY Giants). Right now, the best case scenario is Coward plays himself into the starting job, but competition is gonna be needed in training camp. Flowers is the type of competition you want to bring in not an older player with no potential future.
