If there is someone who you genuinely think can be a big asset in the future when the team is supposed to be good (LMAO), like Machado or Harper, then go for it especially given our low, low payroll.

If you're gonna be doing more patch-work free agent signings like we've been doing since 2000 then why even bother with a rebuild.

They should be All In for Machado this offseason.

Yep Machado, maybe a vet CF and some relief pitching.

Makes sense for both Chicago teams to be in on Machado this year. What other FA's would the White Sox even be interested in at this point of the rebuild. (Srs question)

Not a lot really. Perhaps a starting pitcher and always relief pitchers. They could have a legit interest in Harper, but I think they are going to roll with what they have. Maybe Pollock for CF

If they just keep Abreu I will feel all glow worm inside.

Is Morrow going to be available? Spending real money on bullpen is not their style, and not needed yet. But if the guy is comfortable maybe he doesn't have to move?

I have no issues spending on pen help. In fact I am hoping for it.
Those are flippable pieces if your season doesn't go as planned.
It's also not a huge investment in terms of dollars or years

I'm all in on Machado. Put him at 3B or SS. I don't care.

Hats off to Hahn getting Alex Colome for Omar. Omar was nice, but his future was going to be short with our team. Alex is a stud closer and can be flipped for decent value if needed.

Omar is nothing special, though he had the best OBP on the team. There's a logjam at catcher so it was a good move. I wouldn't be surprised to see Seby get a shot to be backup in spring training and Zack Collins move up to AAA.
