What the hell is the difference between a 5 yard run or a quick pass for 5 yards?

The clock keeps running and you can control the clock just as well.

The thing is to keep the defense guessing as to whether it is a run or a pass.

The main difference is our lead back isn't getting 5 yards.

For a QB making his first start against NE, Bellichick will make your life hell.

If Nagy thinks the key is to beating NE should depend mainly on Trubiskys right arm, we gonna lose.

Obviously the D has to not let Brady go crazy, but Nagy needs to keep feeding Howard. Even if results aren't ideal right away. Nagy tends to bail on the run FAST if it's not getting big gains. Establishing the run can take time. It's not always a Salisbury Steak TV dinner in the microwave. Sometimes it's a pot roast in the crock pot for 8hrs, but VERY worth the wait. Howard is a load and not a whole helluva lot of fun to tackle in the 4th qtr when you're tired and hurting. But ya can't wait until the 4th qtr to start running Howard. He needs the ball early and often to make the Pats D tired.

Plus it eats clock. The best way to beat Brady was established by the Giants in 2 Super Bowls. Keep Brady OFF THE FIELD. A good running game chews up clock.

Nagy NEEDS to make Howard the focal point vs NE.

5 games into the season Howard has yet to break 100 (82 was his high). That's bogus for a RB of his pedigree.

He should have AT LEAST 20 carries Sunday.

And Cohen should get AT LEAST 10.
A good run game helps keep the defense fresh. But a good defense, hitting the opponents with 3-and-outs, keeps them fresh too.

The Offense just has to worry about scoring anyway it can, over other concerns. At the end of halves time management comes in, on both sides of the ball, but you can only rush a lot if you can do while scoring points... horse before the cart.

But I agree you have to run Howard throughout the game, and mix it up... he's worked on his receiving. But I think it's clear the Bears have moved to primarily a passing team.

Our run game is just bad. For whatever reason Howard can’t seem to get going this year.

It's not the running backs, so I'll give you one more guess which unit it's on.

They both have their place.

But pulled pork is comes out better in a crockpot, than in an instapot.

Or you could use a smoker, you know, if you wanted good pulled pork.

I've come up with a play to get Kevin White goin...

So it's no secret Buckwheat has been a collosal bust.

First his Mr. Glass persona made him vulnerable to stress fractures and well any kind of stress. I mean I'm so fat now I get the meat sweats just thinking about tailgating, but White for awhile was breaking bones just putting on his uniform.

Now that he has defeated his Mr. Glass persona, ol Buckwheat cant find his mojo.

So....in lou of the NFLs allowance of dreadlox and corn-rolls on the field, I thought of a Harry&Lloyd design gag-play that could send White right to the endzone.

White has corn-rolls and dreds. So my idea was, fit him with SNAP-ON dreds to his current dreds. This will make him an ALLURING target for lazy tacklers from behind. Then when the tackler goes to pull his hair, the dreds SNAP RIGHT OFF!!!

GAG OF THE CENTURY!!!

And Buckwheat laughs his ass off all the way to the endzone as the hapless defender lays on the ground with nothing but a handful of fake dreds in his hands.
