If it’s like 2005 there will be room even after the fact. Last time ghe bandwagon includednobody north of the loop and about 7 people south of I-80.

That’s the extent of the Sox’ appeal.

Even ESPN left them off the list when showing Chicago sports teams’ championships. :)

And Wheel of Fotune

Sox were great in the 70’s sporting the black. Then the illness set in. Never went away just when on the board.

How far away are the white sox? Seems I get into arguments wherever I go, but if you are looking at Jiminez, Engle, Harper, Davidson, Anderson, Moncada, Abreu, with all those Garcias on the bench, its a pretty strong team isnt it?

SS: Anderson: .240/.281/.406 (20 HR 26 SB)
2B: Moncada: .235/.315/.400 (17 HR 12 SB)
1B Abreu: .265/ .325/.473 (22 HR 2 SB)
RF Palka .240/.294/.484 (27 HR/2 SB)
DH Davidson .228/.319/.419 (20 HR 0 SB)
LF Garcia ..236/.281/.438 (19 HR 3 SB)
3B Sanchez .242/.306/.372 (8 HR 14 SB)
C Castillo .259/.304/3406 (6 HR 1 SB)
CF Engel .235/.315/.400 (6 HR 16 SB)

So first LF will be Eloy. They are targeting Nelson Cruz as a DH. It is a start. Josh Donaldson would be a nice upgrade to Sanchez. Pitching they are in a holding pattern right now.

$76,191,667 projected. $206,000,000 threshold. It could get disgusting if they target Cruz, Donaldson and Harper. They can add 130M. That is a reality for them.

I said that they could add 130M and not get into the tax. Not my fault that your fan base sucks.
But I’ll hold to a movie line:

If they build it then they will come.

I just wonder how far away they were then, say the brewers last season. I thought another year or two of the rebuild before Milwaukee made some noise and they are in an even worse division to take

Naturally: The Sox are 2 years away.

Eloy most likely held back til his player control date hits next season. They will milk him. Michael Kopech should be out all year, Cease most likely AA-AAA next year. He is a ace in the making. Zack Collins has been pacing Cease so that most likely is the future battery.

So 2 years seem the window. This year Eloy should see his growing pains so a few vets to minimize the stress would be ideal. Reality is they need a few impact vets to stabilize the youth core's development.

ND is horrible.
Since the window is almost closed on the Cubs and the White Sox are on the rise-you will be welcomed aboard.

By the looks of most White Sox fans you need to get in line at the dental clinic and stop worrying about a shitty southside team that will struggle to win 80 games again.

I forgot about this thread. I was more upset we traded cease then Jimenez. Also, Cubs window will close only for a year or two. They will stil be successful this year and next then make some trades for the next go around. Trust!

In fairness, this is what Theo did initially, he deserves the change to do it again

Why is this on the Cubs forum?

Right the Sox believe that they have all these great prospects that will make them a winning team. Ive got bad news for you. At least 1/2 of all prospects never make it. Especially if they are rushed to the majors. The only guy I see making a difference is Eloy Jimenez who the Cubs gave away. You're not going to sign Harper. And what's this bullshit about the Cubs championship window closing. Our core averages age 25. And all of our core is major league tested and have proven themselves capable of playing and winning at the major league level. You guys have a long way to go until u are ready to compete even in that weak-ass division u play in. So settle down and let the World Champion Cubs get all the press. They do anyway. Buh bye, asshole. :)
