I’m sorry Meredith fan boys.....
Couldn’t have said it any better myself
I’m sorry Meredith fan boys.....
I think both have been disappointing to date but if you wish to hold off on both that is more than fair.
Gabriel and Burton not having trouble getting the ball. As for Meredith, can't get the ball if the coach doesn't put you on the field. I don't follow the Saints so don't know all the specifics but Meredith has caught 90% of targets. In fact given the number of targets Robinson has compared to Cam, you would expect 4 times the production. He is nowhere close to that.
Couldn’t have said it any better myself
He did have one good game for them. I think he went off a few weeks ago and then was not used after that. I think he got off to a bad start with his early season fumble and has been really in the dog house since, probably still not 100% back recovery wise as well.
Remy, you lost dude. Cam suffered from big fish, small pond syndrome. We had trash at WR and he played better than the rest. Now he moved on and doesnt even get opportunities because everyone else is better.
After Pace drafted Ant Miller, I couldn’t have given a fuck less about losing Cam.
He isnt on the field because he isnt better than the other WR's the Saints have. Look at our Roster who would Cam replace on the depth chart?
Robinson
White
Gabriel
Wims
Miller
Only people i think he would take more time from is White and Wims and they barely get on the field as well. There would have zero reason to re-sign him here
Remy's mad cause he was one of the most vocal (shocker) on here hating on Pace for not matching the Saints offer for Cam and we had plenty of talk on here about how AR12 wasn't gonna put up some crazy stats in this Nagy offense because we're gonna spread the ball around so much which is absolutely what's been happening.
Allen Robinson was never going to be worth 14Mil of production this year. And most people should have been fine with that. But he's a guy that gave instant credibility to this offense. Without him, before this season you were looking at an "on-paper" WR corps of Gabriel, White, Miller, Wims, Bellamy. Even throw in Burton. That's a bunch of guys who'd never done anything very worthwhile on an NFL field before. ARob at the very least is a guy teams have to dedicate a big, and probably their best CB to. He gives Mitch a guy that doesn't have to be open for him to make a catch. I believe his production will go up, but he's probably not a 1000 yard WR in this offense. But the future of this receiving group is Gabriel, Miller, Wims, Burton and Cohen. Robinson's a perfect guy to bridge the gap and young enough that he can get healthy and turn it around and also be a part of this team's long-distance future.
As for Meredith, yeah I thought it was a no-brainer to bring him back. Was upset they didn't. Was skeptical even after drafting Miller because they gave up a future 2nd, but he's the real deal. And there would be no Miller if there was a Meredith.
So you want to praise Pace for Cam but then pretend like we gave ARob 25 million guaranteed for WR3 production?
I love how you always find a way to rig the analysis in Pace's favor. There is no way you give a guy 25 million guaranteed for 46 yards a game. Try to be objective for once.
What you can credit Pace for is Gabriel, Burton and Miller make up for the fact ARob has been disappointing.
What's been disappointing is MT's inconsistent accuracy to the receivers.
Hard to get stats when your QB misfires on you too often
Chill Remy. I didn't call you by name before but I'm pretty sure that you were one that said we didn't need to draft Miller if we had kept Meredith and would rather have Meredith and the pick than Miller.
" feels like all we did is stand still as we gave up Sitton and Meredith just to replace them. I would have preferred Sitton, Meredith plus 2 2nd round picks than just Daniels and Miller."
