You have picked the right time to become a Cub Junkie. The rest of us have endured quite a bit of punishment through the years.

The Cubs are trending upwards, and you will see a revamped ballpark in a couple of years if you go to Wrigley. I need not say anything about the Black Hawks.

One thing about being a Cubs fan is you learn quickly to despise most Cardinal fans and their arrogance.

The latest scandal might knock them down a few notches and should be a nice little jab when they get out of line.....which they will.

Anyways....welcome aboard.

Yeah no shit man. Best time to become a Cubs fan, welcome to the team!! You have to understand the Cubs have always been terrible. Ive been a die hard for 30 years!! :)

I thought it was "favorite player," not "best player?"

So he likes guys that hit under .200? Or he likes seeing the team lose games because he likes bad players.

But in all seriousness. Cog came out as a contact hitter. Then fell short with the fish. Then bought into the Theoism of waiting for his pitch. Now he is a .200 hitter. His BB% has been around 10% all of the time. But focusing on pitch zones that he can drive vs using the whole plate and field has gone away from his strength.

Kinda like if he could slap a single to left before he is letting that pitch go. Strike or not to get a pitch in his wheelhouse. That costs BA and pushes him into a 2 strike hitter more now. Thus the spike in his strike out rate.
