I'm thinking Iowa or Minnesota is his next stop.

If I’ve read reports right, Boylan is the head coach permanently? No interim tag?

we asked for it we got it, now what will be the excuse?
That the roster is still devoid of depth, nobody who can close out a game offensively, no defensive anchor and that no elite free agents want to play for this disastrous ownership and management.

I'll say this about Fred: I was excited to see if his offensive concepts would work with the team. I thought they could, but for whatever reason, he never got a fair shake with the lineup they were putting around him.

With the players pretty much playing gm I think basketball has to be the hardest sport to put together a bad ass team. They are the true players league moreso then the other major sports. A gm has to be pretty lucky to have a player that can influence others to coming on board or just tank for 5 years and collect talent that way.

Not sure about the timing of the firing. Why not fire Hoiberg at the end of last year? Why let him coach part of this season....did the GarPax expect Hoiberg to go 10-10 with Markkinen and Dunn out of the lineup?

Weird.

I'll agree with this. The lineup he had when he first got here just didn't fit. I thought after trading Butler and starting to build with younger players, he had a shot. But injuries just didn't help his cause this season.

Fred deserved to be fired but the timing is weird. Its like someone just woke up and was like "Fred, you're fired" Maybe he asked to be let go? I figured they'd let him coach out the season.

Firing HCs that should never have been hired.....building around a "core" of Dunn/Lavine/Markannen........>>>>> We ARE the new Sacramento Kings.

Tanking for Zion is the strategy.

Yeah, I just don't think Fred is really to blame here. That's not to say he's a good coach, because it's obvious he's not fit for the NBA game.
