I seriously, seriously doubt Jay gives two shits about Dilfer...just like I seriously doubt Kreutz cares about what Mark Effing Schlereth says. They have pretty much all taken the same approach. Screw the media, screw the fair weather fans. You didn't think we would be a good team to begin the year, who needs you. Urlacher is the spokesman for this, saying seemingly every single week, "I could give a shit [about what the media thinks]." Everyone else, including Jay, is just following in his footsteps now. Urlacher is the undisputed leader on this team, even though he may not be the best player on the team anymore...and wants the world to know that he doesn't give a flying intercourse what anyone thinks about HIS beloved Bears.

That's not a contradiction. The Baltimore offense was ranked 14th that year where as the Chicago offense is currently ranked 22. Dilfer was at best a cog rather than a driver in terms of that offenses success, but that doesn't change the fact that 2000 Baltimore had a much better offense and at least a notably better defense. Dilfer is a bit of a jerkoff, but that's not a valid reason to ignore his argument.

although dilfer was never that good of a QB, in fact below average, but that shouldnt be factored in with him as an analyst

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. unfortunately, Dilfer is too and gets paid for it(which has be questioning my faith in God). Dilfers opinion doesn't mean jack shit because he has an agenda when he talks about QBs and the teams those QBs play for. Have you guys ever seen his QB rankings? He rates them first and foremost by championships, then wins. Why? Because he knows if he wasnt on a winning team and didnt win a SB, he would be even more of a nobody and somehow more worthless than he already is. He ranks QBs in a mannor that makes his career sound more legit. Yes winning games and championships is the name of the game but lets be real, Dilfer had absolutely nothing to do with it. Kyle Orton in Chicago>Trent Dilfer.

He trashes Cutler because he sees all of the talent that he never had and hates Jay because he puts too much trust in his own talent and tends to throw games away. That same talent that also wins games. Dilfer never had that ability to be the guy. Believe it or not, from what ive recently seen the ESPN talking heads are starting to come around on Jay a little bit. Schlereth gave the kid some love! That must drive Dilfer crazy...Well its ok because come 4PM tomorrow, Jay will have his 9th win and finally have a winning season. Hopefully not far down the line, a playoff appearance.

Im waiting for the day a good NFL QB just sits down with a reporter or some media type and just bash Turd Dilfart for a good hour. I would love to see his reaction.

How could he, of all people, say that a team can't win a Super Bowl on defense alone with poor QB play. It boggles the mind.

Saw 2 minutes of Cowherd today and saw Dilfer on there with both outing the Bears and Colin was going off thinking the Bears wont win another game all year and Dilfer said he thinks they'll only win one criticizing that Cutler doesn't got through the right progressions yet.

I saw a clip on ESPN.com of Dilfer talking about how defensive-minded teams can't win in the postseason because you have to have an elite QB to drop back and win the game through the air.

The irony is delicious.

Trish...DILFER...sucked bad as a QB...he should bow down to his old teams great defense every day of his life for helping him land his analyst job,he sucks bad!He beats down on Cutler,he,s a total joke along with that washed up Steve Young,send em both on a way way ticket in the space schuttle..oh..take hassleback with ya! laidbackn...

I hate Dilfer. I wish I could force feed that superbowl ring down his throat, force him to shit it out, fuck his mother, then not call her back the next day. After that, I would go ahead and call up Schlareth or whatever his name is, tell him Elway won the superbowls not him, tell him that Dilfer wanted him to come over and piss on him like he used to piss on himself during the game. Then tie them both up and have Cutler just launch passes at their nuts. Fuckin ESPN analysts.
