Hi there...my name is Son Tzu and I'll be your blogger today. I just signed on to write a little here and there and I hope you like what I have to say--I have a good feeling that most of the time--you will. But, I also know that sometimes--you will not. That's totally cool, you know what they say about opinions...

No seriously, do you know, because I don't and I've always wondered.

Let's see, a bit about me? Um, I'm in my late 30's, I like sports, books about war, fine scotch, finer cigars and an ice cold beer (sometimes all at once).

What are my qualifications you ask? Excellent question...I've been a Chicago Sports Fan (yeah, I capitalized that) for over 35 years. I'm old enough to remember the Super Shuffle and not just from the dumb-ass, rip-off commercials. I drove down Harlem Ave. in a drop top when the Bulls won title #2 and I partied with my future wife in Grant Park when the Bulls won #3. I was at the first game ever in New Soldier Field (directly after the space ship landed and took the real Lovie Smith back to his original planet). Afterwards I partied in the parking lot with Steve Mongo McMichael. I caught a puck on New Year's Eve at Old Chicago Stadium. I once muffed Gary Suter in Chelio's Bar when he shoved me and was forcibly removed from the place by Chris Chelios and his mother. I then stood outside the window starting at Chris and Gary and apologizing, contrary to rumors--I did not cry...they didn't let me back in. My dog's name is Wrigley.

More stuff about me: I work from home...I've got a super hot wife of 18 years, two amazing sons (college)...while I live in Florida, I spent a majority of their college money on sports "ticket" packages from my cable provider so I don't miss any of the games.

I spent 6 years as a Broadcast Journalist in the USAF where I was a decorated Radio DJ and Television Host (think Good Morning, Viet Nam...but funnier and in Panama). I worked for NBC as a Producer in Las Vegas. I currently write screenplays and am working on a Comic Book Series with George Perez (no big deal, he's just the dude that's doing the art for SUPERMAN!!!).

Anyway...I've got a good wit, I'm not an idiot. I have a virtual encyclopedic knowledge of Chicago Sports and I live and die with each win and loss (since I'm a Cubs fan, mostly die). That being said, I'm a realist and largely a cynic. I always want them to win and I will cheer loudly when they do...but since I pay for them to exist, I will complain and question any decision, play, or behavior that causes them not to win and so should you! We are the 99%...oh damn, wrong forum.

Finally, in closing...I would like to buy Steve Bartman a drink, get him really hammered drunk and then the two of us go find Moises Alou and beat the piss out of him, just so that he can't pee on his hands anymore or throw a tantrum when a fan has the audacity to act like...a fan.

I am always game for a debate, but if you flame out on me or somebody else with cheap insults or garbage comments with no real worth, I will fight you. Just kidding...I don't think we're allowed to fight and plus, my P.O. frowns upon me engaging in physical confrontation.

Seriously...I hope you enjoy what I write as much as I enjoy writing it.

Thanks, hope the first article lived up to my hype (which was limited)...it's up now. I'm planning on doing a weekly fantasy football wrap/preview segment on here...I'll do the first one this week. Stay tuned and let me know your thoughts...
